“I know. I probably shouldn’t have said anything but now it’s out in the open no taking it back. Unless do you have the power to turn back time also?”
He saw her get upset and pull her knees up to her chest. Ok well he didn’t know for sure if she was upset or not. But usually when his sister did this it was a good sign. Shit when any girl did that it wasn’t a good sign. He ran a hand through his hair and leaned back in the chair he was sitting in. He figured he landed himself on her shit list and maybe for a while. Suddenly he wished he was better with words and less bold. The good thing was if she decided to light him on fire at least he could with stand the heat. And if it made her feel better well she better start lighting him up right now. She seemed to be in deep though or sorrow he wasn’t sure which. So he let her stay curled up until she began talking again. He knew that she still wouldn’t be in a good mood but at least she would be talking? She was pretty intimidating when she just sat there looking like he just played a terrible joke on her. Well in some ways he did by even bringing up immortality.
“I bet there are so many assholes out there including me. People still don’t surprise you? Well I guess if you have people down to a science, which it sounds like I suppose anyone would stop being surprised. I’ll take you word on it that the world doesn’t really change.”
He still noticed no change on her unhappy level. He just wanted to hit him self over the head. He was such a goon sometimes but he could help it he was a boy. He understood he hit a nerve. If it was him and someone hit his nerve he would have tackled them by now. Or just told them to get the hell out of his face. He couldn’t understand why she was still entertaining him by talking. He shook his head at himself now frustrating himself. She actually gave him the time of day to explain herself and he now blew this whole situation wide open. He wanted Ildri to believe him as trust worthy. And by now she probably trusted him as much as her worst enemy. He growled a bit acting a bit caveman like at this point he really didn’t care.
“Ildri really if you want to set me on fire you can if it will make you feel better. I’m really sorry if I upset you. I couldn’t help but notice…”
He pointed at her curled up position. All talk of going to stay with her over the summer was forgotten. Pushing it to the back burner since it was no longer relevant. He just wanted to make sure that Ildri was fine. Even if it meant she had to scream and yell at him so be it. He wanted her to know he was her punching bag. Even if she did hurt him but how hard could a girl punch? Little to his knowledge Ildri was stronger than he could ever have imagined.
