There's only one place left, I want to go Who says you can't go home? AKAROA MAUI GREENSTONE ==================================== Roa had been out of her dorm all day. It had been a long day and she had left Sheep and Kiwi to the dorm. So far she was without a roommate and living on her own. Usually it was a gift, today it was a curse. Akaroa had arrived at the same time as pretty much every other nation. She was here for the same reasons and with the same goals in mind. She mostly had peaceful intentions and was more concerned with keeping the gifted here away from people who would use their abilities for additional strength. She didn’t think the world needed any super soldiers or any more fighting. Her government just so happened to agree. So Roa found herself comfortably mingling amongst the population unknown to both Nations and Gifted alike.
Roa had a bit of an edge on the other nations. She could recognize them where she was unrecognizable. In the last seven years she had transformed from one visual to another to better represent her country. Before she had maintained short cropped hair with thick curled pieces on the side, a flat and non-descript body and a somewhat boyish visual. Roa had been mistaken for a boy many times and other times assumed to be a girl. No nation had been sure and she hadn’t bothered telling them, demanding that they figure it out for themselves but always with an amused and playful tone. She didn’t want to tell them what gender she was; she wanted them to just know.
Now Roa had long flowing blonde hair, a curvy feminine figure and actual boobs that clearly defined her as a woman. It was an amazing transformation and it had proved to be her greatest asset in this venture…well until Alfred had found out. Now it was only a matter of time before the cover she had was blown and everyone found out the truth about her. Or at least until the other nations did. Alfred wasn’t exactly hush about everything.
Roa swung her bag off her shoulders and placed it on the floor rummaging for her key. She was outside her dorm and only moments from a warm shower, putting her feet up and snuggling with her beloved Sheep and Kiwi! But that was when she realized…where had her key gone? Roa began tearing apart her bag digging for any sign of her key. Once the contents were sprawled everywhere she checked again as she put them back in before slumping against the door. She couldn’t recall remembering her key and now that she thought about it, she was pretty sure it was on the side table. She slid down to the floor, sitting next to her door, furious with herself for having forgotten. And what was worse, it was already nearing midnight and she had no way in until the Dorm Staff returned in the morning. Roa sat, hugging her knees to her chest and contemplating how best to deal with her unfortunate situation.

Cease to resist, giving my goodbye Drive my car into the oceanYou'll think I'm dead, but I sail away Warren had decided it was a new year and that he was going to switch up living. He had put in a request to change boy’s dorm to the co-ed but they hadn’t got around to it till now. It wasn’t that he hated his roommate or anything he just wanted a slight change. It took him a couple hours to box everything up, and he hadn’t heard about the change until around ten pm. He couldn’t help but feel that staff really didn’t want him to switch dorms that it would cause chaos to there system. Before himself he had never heard of any one switching or even putting in a request too switch. Maybe no one else had ever thought of it, or they were just cozied in to where they were at the moment. Either way he was moving and that was that! Gathering boxes that laid idle since last semester he finally got to put things in them. Grabbing his clothes he moved them in to one box and wrote clothes with a sharpie on it. Not that he couldn’t just open the box and see in but it just made the move more organized.
He had been going back and forth for hours moving not really wanting to pester anyone else with his decision to move dorms. With his last box and old room key in hand he nodded to his dorm in a farewell. He left the keys on his old desk and took off new keys jingling happily in his pocket. As he raced up different stairs a thought had hit him he could have just went in to hyperspeed and all of this would have been done hours ago. He countered in his mind that, it was all in good fun and he had nothing to do today anyway. So he made his way up the stairs and in to the long hall of co-ed dorms. He trotted happily down the hall wondering what his roommate was like. He had seen all her things but didn’t touch anything. Warren did fail to notice the Kiwi and Sheep maybe thinking they were just stuffed animals. Or perhaps to happily buzzing to have even noticed. As he finally began to come to his door he saw a girl sitting down in front of it. He wasn’t sure if this was his roommate or a friend but wanted to make a good first impression either way.
“Are you my new roommate or just a friend? Either way I can let you in.”
Taking the keys from his pocket and holding them out in front of him. The box was fairly small with pencils and paper stuffed inside nothing too extremely heavy. He noticed all her things seemed to be spread out in front of her and moved his feet carefully so he wouldn’t break anything. That would just be his luck to break something of his new roommate’s and having her hate him for the rest of the school year. So he backed a bit away getting in the clear before shuffling his feet around. She seemed to still be looking upset as if he was playing a joke on her. Or maybe she just had to process what he had said. She did seem like today just wasn’t her day and Warren knew how that felt.Word count- 562 Tag: Roa/Jez-E Notes: none Lyrics: Wave Of Mutilation- Pixies

There's only one place left, I want to go Who says you can't go home? AKAROA MAUI GREENSTONE ==================================== Naturally Roa not being around all day had meant she was completely unaware of her new roommate moving in today. She had known to expect one sometime soon but hadn’t exactly been given the timing or even a heads up. The notice from the dorm staff had likely been left for her while she was out all day. Sheep and Kiwi had been smart enough to just sleep on her bed all day, appearing like no more than stuffed, inanimate objects. Though, if Warren had taken a closer look he’d have likely noticed that they were indeed breathing. Roa luckily had the foresight to not leave anything too obviously condemning to what she was out in plain sight, or outside of locked cabinets in her room. So instead of being concerned when Warren appeared she was relieved.
The first thing she noticed was the box in his hands and was about to go back to wallowing when he stopped by the door. She looked up at him as he spoke and she couldn’t help the expression of disbelief. Roa wasn’t exactly able to show anything false anyways. She was a terrible liar and that meant she was also terrible at keeping control over her own facial expression. So she didn’t even try to hide the feelings as they spread across her face. Her disbelief mixed with her miserable state of mind from having found she forgot her keys.
As he held out the keys she quickly glanced down as the sprawl of stuff and started shoving it back in her bag. ”Oh..uh…Sorrry. I didn’t expect to get back in tonight.”
she said quickly, not actually answering his question as to whether she was a friend or roommate. Once she had it all shoved in and in no neat or organized way, she stood up. ”My name is Akaroa. Roa is fine.” She said introducing herself. ”So you moved in today while I was out?” she asked. She had done enough to imply she was his roommate by now that she didn’t bother answering the question. She would have offered her hand but his arms were full. Roa offered a hand. ”Do you want me to hold that or unlock the door?” she asked, offering to help in whichever way she could. She was just grateful that today of all days he chose to show up. She was after all going to end up stuck in the hall all night…or on someone’s couch. But whose was beyond her. She hadn’t exactly made any close friends and was trying to avoid her old ones.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Warren Pierce •• •• Words • 432 •• •• Outfit • Blue jeans, a slim tank top with a red over-shirt and a pair of black knee high boots. •• •• Lyrics • "Who says you can’t go home" By Bon Jovi ••

Cease to resist, giving my goodbye Drive my car into the oceanYou'll think I'm dead, but I sail away Warren couldn’t help but chuckle a bit as she just threw her things in her bag. He figured she had no idea he was coming but the shocked look on her face. Here was Warren to actually save the day for once? There had to be pigs flying around somewhere for this to happen. He noticed the girl dodging his question or just out right ignored them. He then realized nope the world was in perfect order. Shaking his head he was about to say she had no reason to apologize he figured that she was his roommate or maybe just crashed on the extra bed that was his? Well it was going to come as a shock to her if that was the case. He shuffled the box around in his hands; he wasn’t expecting to have a pit stop right outside the dorm. It wasn’t heavy just awkwardly shaped not easy to get a grip on.
“Nice to meet you I’m Warren Pierce. Yes I did, I saw your stuffed animals on the bed. But don’t worry I didn’t touch them or anything.”
He wanted to make sure it was clear that he wasn’t on to go messing in others things. And in an unspoken rule saying please don’t mess with my stuff. Not that he minded if she needed to borrow something. But his old roommate would just shuffle things about as he saw fit. It drove Warren crazy when he tried to find certain writing utensils or notebooks. Warren could be a bit messy at times, but all his writing things he kept neat and clean on his desk. Books on a small metal bookshelf, it was his clothes that he sometimes just left laying around. But if she got on his case to pick them up he immediately would. Hearing her ask if he wanted help he shifted the box holding out the key to her.
“Thank you that would be awesome if I could just put this down inside.”
He waited for her to take it and with in moments she did unlocking the door. He stepped in to the room after her awkwardly closing the door but trying to be a gentle man. While doing so the box slipped out of his hands and all over the floor. He shook his head once again and began flinging things back in to the box. It wasn’t much just a couple notebooks and pencils. It wasn’t until he was on the ground he looked up to see the ‘stuffed’ animals slightly moving. He blinked a couple times before realizing it wasn’t his eyes playing tricks on him. He pointed at the animals a second then just sat there trying to find a way to ask what the hell was a sheep and kiwi doing in there dorm ALIVE.
“Uh not to be a stick in the mud but are those animals real. I mean they are breathing but motionless. Not to mention I’ve been in here all day and they haven’t moved an inch.”Word count: 509 Tag:Roa/Jez-E Notes: none Lyrics:Wave Of Mutilation- Pixies

There's only one place left, I want to go Who says you can't go home? AKAROA MAUI GREENSTONE ==================================== Roa took the keys from him as she answered about the stuffed animals, ”What stuffed animals?” she asked innocently. Roa didn’t have stuffed animals…what did she have that resembled stuffed animals. She had real animals---oh crap. She unlocked the door without trying cover that part up. Trying to pretend like she did indeed have stuffed animals would have just proved even more completely that she didn’t. Roa was a terrible liar. In fact, when it came time to tell a lie she got flustered and had a hard time speaking clearly. She just got to the point of feeling guilty about a lie she hadn’t told that she stumbled, stuttered and basically failed to show any confidence in what she was saying.
Either way, it was clear Sheep and Kiwi had slept all day, so they were the supposed stuffed animals. So as she opened the door she said a silent prayer that they were still there until she could explain the Kiwi and Sheep she had in her dorm. For a moment Roa wondered how Mattie dealt with it and then decided he must keep Kuma elsewhere or maybe have another nation as a roommate. Oh how that would make things so simple! Except the part where Roa was trying to stay under the nation radar too.
Roa pushed the door open saying, ”You’re welcome.”
and slipping to the side to try to allow him space to get through the door with the awkward box. She noticed the moment the box was slipping and suddenly wished she had a gift that would allow her to catch it as the contents fell everywhere. Roa dropped the key onto a desk beside the door and crouched to help collect up the loose school supplies, placing them back in the box. Roa in that moment had let Sheep and Kiwi slip her mind!! Sheep turned a bit and Kiwi slid so that his head was resting on Sheep’s wool covered body. They were both still sleeping and Roa suddenly wondered how they were even mistaken for stuffed animals to begin with. She watched as Warren pointed at them and she tried to maintain her smile as she put the last items in the box. Then she turned to look at him hearing his concern about the live sheep and kiwi. Roa gave a nervous smile now, her real one lost as soon as he had realized the two of them were moving. ”Uh…Kiwi and Sheep are not stuffed. They are uh…my pets?” she said giving an almost apologetic look. ”They stay really still when they sleep. So…I guess you just didn’t notice…” She offered. Hearing their names both of their heads perked up and suddenly both jumped off the bed and ran to where Roa and Warren were. Kiwi leaping into Roa’s arms, and having seen him coming, Roa caught him neatly. Sheep on the other hand stopped at Warren, his little nose poking toward Warren to get a taste of the scent. Sheep was more than aware Warren was going in and out all day and was just connecting the person to the scent. As if in greeting the sheep let out a long “Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa”. Roa let out a slightly nervous laugh. ”This…this won’t be a problem right? I mean, I can lock them in my room if it is…” She said, her voice smaller than it was to begin with. Roa always talked quite soft and quietly but this was said in a very small voice, almost as if she was afraid of the answer.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Warren Pierce •• •• Words • 596 •• •• Outfit • Blue jeans, a slim tank top with a red over-shirt and a pair of black knee high boots. •• •• Lyrics • "Who says you can’t go home" By Bon Jovi ••

Cease to resist, giving my goodbye Drive my car into the oceanYou'll think I'm dead, but I sail away He looked at her quizzically about the stuffed animals. How does she not know when they were clearly on her bed all day? Warren then jumped to the conclusion that maybe she was embarrassed by having stuffed animals. So he dropped the subject not wanting to make his new roommate feel like he was asking to many questions. He didn’t think he was being to inquiring but then again Warren never knew what to shut up. So he just shrugged it off even though something was eating at him about her animals. Besides the fact she was in denial why else wouldn’t he admit they were fake? Could they have been real? In Warren’s mind there was no possible way they could have been real they didn’t move an inch!
Warren grins as she propped the door open for him. It was almost like slow motion as the box dropped. Then his new roommate Roa did something he didn’t expect she was actually helping him clean up his mess on the floor. He wanted to say thank you but wasn’t sure if she was just a neat freak and wanted this pick up now. Or if she just felt bad for him and decided to help. Both scenarios weren’t exactly what he wanted her to be like. A neat freak would probably scare him and someone who just pitied him… well it was pathetic on his part. It was after this Warren noticed Sheep and Kiwi on the bed now moving around. He wasn’t sure what to think and finally picked him self off the floor. He grabbed the box and moved it out of the way toward his side of the room. He was still awkwardly silent until Roa broke the ice saying that she had pets.
“Not that I didn’t notice them I did, but they were just oddly still for being pets. Are they usually that uh, deep in sleep they don’t notice anyone?”
Laughing nervously he watched their little heads look up as if they only come when being called. Warren watched the Kiwi bird jump in to Roa’s arms. And at Warren’s feet a sheep was sniffing him. Not sure if he should pet the sheep or not he decided it was worth not petting him and keeping all his fingers. It wasn’t until the sheep let out a “baaaaa” that Warren slightly jumped but figured it was a good sign since he wasn’t getting charged at. He wanted to extend his fingers, but until Roa gave him the ok he figured he better not. Oh wouldn’t that be great the first day they are roommies and her Sheep bites his fingers off. It would be award winning that’s for sure.
“Baaaaa, to you too.” Looking at the sheep then glancing to Roa. “No, there fine as long as they don’t decide to eat me one day I think we will all be fine. Besides if I had some sort of animal I wouldn’t want a stuffy roommate who would make me lock it up.”Word count: 510 Tag: Roa/Jez-E Notes: none Lyrics: Wave Of Mutilation- Pixies

There's only one place left, I want to go Who says you can't go home? AKAROA MAUI GREENSTONE ==================================== Roa didn’t know a thing about this guy and already she was getting the feeling the two of them had a fair share of similarities. He seemed hesitant to do anything that might offend her or put him in her bad graces. Roa was very much the same, concerned that he would take something the wrong way. Already she was finding the bulk of her concern revolved around Kiwi and Sheep. Not many people knew what to make of them. How many people had a pet sheep and a pet kiwi. Then again, the most obscure thing was that Sheep was a mini sheep…he wasn’t even the proper size. In fact, had he been curled up asleep he would very much look like a stuffed animal. She just hoped he didn’t ask where you get a mini sheep. Roa didn’t know the answer…Sheep and Kiwi had just always been there.
Roa gave him a slight smile, still being cautious. ”They tend to just stay while they sleep but they also always sleep in the same spot in the same position. They may have gotten up a few times and just gone back. Were you in here the entire time or in and out?”
she asked. It was very true. The two them always favoured that spot on the bed. Roa often found herself practically kicked out of her bed at night when the two of them wanted their spot back. Roa placed Kiwi on her shoulder and he hunkered down comfortably. Sheep on the other hand was much more interested in Warren. She watched to see how Sheep would take to Warren and was just glad Kiwi hadn’t decided to start chattering. That’d be a lot harder to explain than two animals as pets. Kiwi was very verbal when he wanted to be. She turned to Kiwi while Warren was focused on sheep and put a finger to her lips, motioning that Kiwi keep quiet. ”You can pet him you know. He doesn’t bite…” she offered. Then she decided the phrase needed revising. ”Well…unless you tick him off.” She glanced to the side hoping this situation wasn’t as strange to him as she figured it would be. Roa laughed at the reaction to Sheep’s ‘Baaa”. She had heard that exact same response back in 1942. Alfred had come with his troops to New Zealand. Naturally it had been permitted by Roa and her government and Alfred had said the exact same thing to Sheep then. She was very amused and assumed the parallel was completely coincidental. Roa shook her head in amused denial. ”No!! They won’t eat you!! Sheep is very low maintenance, but he is curious. So he’ll probably follow you around for a while. Kiwi is more inclined to leave people alone…” She said with a grin. ”I wouldn’t say he is anti-social, just not extremely interested like Sheep is.” Roa explained, rubbing Kiwi’s chin just under the area where his beak connected to his body.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Warren Pierce •• •• Words • 498 •• •• Outfit • Blue jeans, a slim tank top with a red over-shirt and a pair of black knee high boots. •• •• Lyrics • "Who says you can’t go home" By Bon Jovi ••

Cease to resist, giving my goodbye Drive my car into the oceanYou'll think I'm dead, but I sail away Warren nodded as Roa began to explain that Kiwi and sheep usually sleep in the same position. It made sense; Warren was in and out of the room all day even taking a half hour break to find something to eat. Moving things was strenuous work by yourself and he hadn’t expected to move that night. But when the school staff told him he had clearance to move in to his new dorm. He couldn’t help but jump on the opportunity. Warren had been waiting nearly a semester before they even acknowledged him. He glanced around at all the boxes and then looked back to Roa wanting to say do you think I carried all these boxes at once? And if so thank you for the compliment, I have been working out as of late. But decided against it due to Roa really didn’t know him or how his humor worked.
“Well that explains why it looked like they never moved. Yes, I’ve been in and out for a couple hours. Then took a small half hour break to go eat, it’s not as easy as it looks shifting all your things from one dorm to another. Two flights of stairs up and down with all theses boxes, yeah it’s not an easy task all by yourself.”
He watched as Roa perched her bird on her shoulder. He still couldn’t believe she had a sheep and kiwi as a pet. They were awesome and exotic since the sheep was a mini sheep also a Kiwi bird. He couldn’t help but want to pet the animal the wool looked so inviting to run his fingers through. Warren looked back up at Roa to see how she was reacting to her sheep being so close to him. He smiled as Roa began to say that her sheep wouldn’t bite. He stretched out his fingers along the sheep’s back then slowly brought them away when she added her last part. How do you tell when you make a sheep mad? Maybe if Warren gave the sheep treats all the time he’d win him over.
She laughed when he answered the sheep and wondered why it was so funny. He supposed it was funny that he would be talking to a sheep but he was just trying to be friendly. Making his way over to his new bed he sat down still looking at Roa. Warren rubbed the back of his head and glanced back over his belongings. He wondered if he should start putting things away or just wait tomorrow.
“Well as long as they won’t eat me I’m good with them being in the room. What does sheep like to snack on? So that way I can stay on his good side, wouldn’t want him to nibble my fingers off. And that’s fine I’m sure he will warm up to me or at least tolerate me that is all I can ask. I am technically invading there space you were here first.”Word count- 494 Tag: Roa/Jez-E Notes: none Lyrics: Wave Of Mutilation- Pixies

There's only one place left, I want to go Who says you can't go home? AKAROA MAUI GREENSTONE ==================================== Roa was really starting to wonder if he was finding her exceptionally strange due to her pets. She was just glad he hadn’t asked any questions about it and sort of let it be. He appeared so far to be the ideal roommate. Roa was sure she’d find little things to irk her. That was quite normal for any living condition, or so she’d been told. But she was more concerned with the nation secret. Keeping it quiet was easy for now, but now that Alfred knew who she was, it was only a matter of time before others started finding out. She’d much rather her roommate didn’t realize she was New Zealand personified.
”They may have been up an about when you were gone, then. If I had known you were moving your things today I would have made sure I was available to help.”
She said, apologetically. Roa wasn’t exactly super strong, but she could have made it so there were fewer trips at least. She’d have to transport lighter boxes but even that would have made things easier. ”Sorry…I was in the library all day…” She had no way of knowing, having left the dorm room at 7AM. It wasn’t like any notice was given to her that today was the day. ”So are you American?” she asked, ”Because you sort of talk like one…” Roa wasn’t intending to prod but she noted the accent was similar to Alfreds. One of the benefits of being a nation meant she was subject to many accents and could usually place them. Her own was often mistake for Australian even though she was from New Zealand. The two were quite similar. She smiled when he asked her what Sheep enjoyed for food. It was true about any animal, the way to their hearts were clearly their stomachs. ”I have a big container in the fridge with a red lid full of lettuce and leafy greens. Sheep loves corn…but I usually only give it to him when I have time to shave it from the cobs for him.” She explained. ”If it’s a veggie, it’s pretty much safe. Just avoid garlic and onion.” She explained for his benefit. ”Give it a bit of time and I am sure he’ll consider you one of his best friends, “ she laughed, knowing her sheep. Anyone with food was Sheep’s best friend. She watched him walk over to his bed and sit down and she turned a desk chair and sat in that instead. ”It’s not invading my space. It’s now your dorm too. Oh, speaking of, I have food and drinks in the fridge. Help yourself to anything you may want. Okay?” Roa offered. She wanted him to feel welcome after all. He was being quite nice about her pets as it was.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Warren Pierce •• •• Words • 470 •• •• Outfit • Blue jeans, a slim tank top with a red over-shirt and a pair of black knee high boots. •• •• Lyrics • "Who says you can’t go home" By Bon Jovi ••

Cease to resist, giving my goodbye Drive my car into the oceanYou'll think I'm dead, but I sail away “None sense! I wouldn’t have asked you to help me move my things. Besides I think I needed to exercise anyway. Walking never hurt anyone… well unless they were very over weight then it might hurt a little. And it’s fine I didn’t get the notice till a bit late anyway. This staff doesn’t know how to run a dorm situation in my opinion. I’ve been asking for a transfer since last semester. Can you imagine that I just got it now?”
Lets the sarcasm slide of his tongue with ease. It was true he had many things against the school, especially since they kept losing his slips to move rooms. It seemed every two weeks he was sent a notice that said ‘come refill you application out’. He was about to burst from last semester to this one if they had sent him one more notice! Warren wasn’t one to rattle people’s cages or get upset when someone rattled his. But enough was enough the game of cat and mouse was getting old. Thankfully someone in his or her right mind saw his application and made sure it went through. Or perhaps it was a fun game they played up in the office to see how many times that Pierce kid would come and fill out the form. He probably looked like a happy go lucky idiot going in and out every two weeks. Warren was surprised at how patient he could be sometimes. He snapped out of his thoughts when she asked if he was American.
“Yeah, I am. Do we talk funny? I mean I guess everyone hear has a slight different accent but if I didn’t pay attention I would never notice.”
Warren shrugs his shoulders he was kind of confused. His head then went to 'what if she hated Americans'? He held his breath for a moment before he began breathing again. But her tone seemed friendly when asking so he stopped his mental freak out. It was a bit ridiculous he was trying to bend over backwards for his new roommate he didn’t want to look like a push over. He most certainly could be at times although mostly he wasn’t. He was more of the listening, being goofy and creating a great diversion if someone ever needed one. Warren wondered if this girl knew Alfred. He wanted to bring it up but if she didn’t then opening that can of worms was going to be difficult to close back up. So instead he let her take the conversation else where about sheep.
“Well that good to know would hate for him to get mad at me. I wouldn’t want to get on his bad side. And why does he have to stay away from onion and garlic? I know that they smell terrible but is there something else to it besides that? Is corn his favorite above greens? Ah, don’t worry me and sheep will be best friends before you know it.”
He smiled as Roa mentioned that it was now his dorm too. He looked around and liked the feeling of this new dorm. Not to mention his roommate was kind and interesting. Something his old roommate lacked, he was very predictable. He eyes lit up as Roa tells him she had food and drinks also that he could help himself. He wondered what he could share with her. He looked around and there was nothing that could come to mind besides a pen or pencil.
“Thank you, so what’s your favorite type of drink and snacks? I can pitch in with buying things for the fridge. That way its more even and I don’t look like I’m mooching off your food. Would hate for you to think poorly of me your new American roommate. Where are you from by the way? You sound like you have an interesting accent yourself.”Word count- 647 Tag: Roa/Jez-E Notes: none Lyrics: Wave Of Mutilation- Pixies

There's only one place left, I want to go Who says you can't go home? AKAROA MAUI GREENSTONE ==================================== Roa was surprised he wouldn’t have asked her. She would have asked for help with a task that monumental in size. From looking at him Roa wasn’t so sure exercise was what the boy needed, he seemed fit enough. She didn’t mention as much and just smiled. ”I agree, the staff here are terrible. I expect they are a little overrun with requests too, given the nature of the school. Not to mention a likely need for frequent dorm repairs for the less careless gifted students.
She said, half agreeing and half defending the staff. Talk about a passive response! ”Well, at least you got it.” She said, trying to be an optimist and ignoring the sarcasm. Roa had a hard time being nasty to people. She wasn’t likely to speak her mind if she had negative things to say and it took some pushing, or you could end up with a full dose on a regular basis if you got to know her. Roa was hardly as careful with people she knew. However, with new people she treated it like she was walking on eggshells. Careful and non-confrontational by nature. Roa grinned and let out an excited ”I knew it!!”. She grinned at his question. ”It’s more noticeable to someone who has a different accent. I wouldn’t recognize or acknowledge someone who talks like me, because to me that sounds normal. You on the other hand I notice it significantly. Americans stress different sounds than Canadians…well it also depends where in America they are from. But even those furthest north have a slight variation to Canadian accents.” She explained. It was true. People who talked differently than yourself often brought more notice than someone who talked just like you. People with unique accents in a society stood out. Like if a British person were to speak up in America it wasn’t exactly a common thing, and as such, the mind jumped on it. Roa found this side of the world fascinating and she was the one who stood out vocally. It seemed that in ways Warren and Roa were similar in their temperaments. Both were careful and tried to prevent others from having conflict with them. Both had moments where they were push overs and both of them were the moderate type of personality that people often gravitated to as friends. She was noticing he was being almost freakishly accommodating, but she also wanted to make sure he was comfortable. This was proving difficult because they were both trying to make the other happy with the arrangement and that meant that somewhere along the line, personal preference had taken a break. Roa smiled. ”I bet you would. He’d be ramming into you all the time, would poop on your bed and would make sure he tripped you as often as possible. My one nanny learned that the hard way.” she laughed. That nanny was actually a care taker to her back in the earlier years of her life. Sheep didn’t care for the harsh woman. Luckily her replacement had been a total sweetheart and smart enough to keep the sheep happy. Now Kiwi was pleasant with most once he worked out their angle. Kiwi was smart, smart enough to talk. He often had too much to say… ”Oh. Well unless you want him to be gas-y, I would avoid it. Enough of it also leads to him pooping everywhere.” She gave an innocent smile and shrugged her shoulders to say ‘what can you do’. ”He loves corn. Cabbage is another of his favorites. Generally he prefers a lot of veggies uncooked, but he won’t eat uncooked potato. Just a warning…” she said with a smile. Roa laughed when he said they’d be friends before she knew it. ”I’d bet on that…” She could tell already that Warren was going to be good to sheep. She just hoped that Kiwi was accepting of Warren and not stupid enough to talk to the boy. That could get awkward. ‘Roa, why the hell does your Kiwi talk?’ ‘would you believe me if I told you I have no idea?’ ‘this isn’t normal’ ‘my being new Zealand isn’t exactly normal either so who am I to discuss normal…’ Yeah. That would go over great!! Roa puzzled over the snack question to herself for a moment. ”Well…I guess…I mostly drink a lot of water. But I do like lemonade! As for snacks, I usually eat a lot of crackers and cheese.” She smiled. Her idea of snacks was not things like chips, pop and candy. She liked substantial food if she could help it. ”We can both contribute. Keep it stocked up…” She agreed. She didn’t however mention that she planned to cover more of it. She had way more than enough money to spare. Roa paused a moment when he asked where she was from and remembered that she hadn’t told him yet. ”New Zealand. I live in Wellington, New Zealand. People often mistaken me for Australian truth be told. We do sound quite similar. My brother actually lives in Australia…” she offered with a smile.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Warren Pierce •• •• Words • 853 •• •• Outfit • Blue jeans, a slim tank top with a red over-shirt and a pair of black knee high boots. •• •• Lyrics • "Who says you can’t go home" By Bon Jovi ••

Cease to resist, giving my goodbye Drive my car into the oceanYou'll think I'm dead, but I sail away “It could be true, I mean I’m sure there are many careless people here with their powers. And maybe just some more new to them. Usually I’m not so hostile but they just got to me I think. I usually don’t get this agitated about things but the staff just got me all upset. It’s silly but hey I’m only human what can you do? I am so happy they finally got to my request.”
Roa made Warren feel a bit better about the situation. It wasn’t like he planned on going else after this move. Unless Roa found some random reason to hate him. It was very unlikely, since Warren was so laid back and would make sure he didn’t do anything stupid. So he couldn’t see him moving out anytime soon. Well unless she planned on moving. He doubted it though by the looks of things she seemed cozy in her dorm. Warren gave another peek at the kiwi bird; he seemed to be content perched on her shoulder. Sheep had lost a bit of interest in Warren roaming around his things now. He kept an eye on the sheep just in case he got the idea of eating something.
“I suppose your right. When I first came here and met some people who actually grew up here they did sound a bit different. I’ve never really been anywhere besides coming here. Never met to many foreign people either. I was a pretty sheltered kid to be quite honest. That’s why I love being here, so many new things to see. New people to meet and learn from.”
Warren had been very sheltered he stayed in t a government lab till he was about seven finally being able to move in with his parents. Even then he wasn’t allowed to go to an actual school till he was eleven. It wasn’t his fault; he was just a guarded secret. They also wanted to make sure he had a good control on his powers before releasing him out in to the real world. Well besides his outing with Alfred, but he proved to take care of Warren. At least he didn’t get lost or run across state lines right? Once in school he thrived with the other students. At first he wasn’t to social being careful whom he talked to. After a while he had made many friends that he could sort of connect with. That was the hardest with Warren being so different. Even now he was around others like him, yet he was still some how different being injected with mutant powers instead of being born with them.
“Yeah we wouldn’t want that, no trouble for me thank you! I have enough to worry about with out being an enemy to a sheep. I’m sure he’d make my life a living hell. Oh no did he torture her? Then again if she was mean she probably got what was coming to her.”
He smiled a bit and knew the sheep could tell a good person from a bad one. He was glad that he was an absolute good person he didn’t want or need any trouble. It had taken him so long to get out of his other dorm he wouldn’t want to switch again. By the looks of it they were going to get along beautifully. He listened quietly as Roa explained that sheep would get super gas-y. He made a face when she also explained he would poop everywhere. He didn’t want to be the one cleaning that up so he would stay away from onions and garlic.
“Noted! Not garlic, onions or potato’s. I’m sure more greener things are better for his digestive track anyway. I mean if they are good for us why wouldn’t they be an excellent food source for him.”
He motions to sheep that now had his nose stuck deep in to a box. Letting out a laugh at the sheep being so nosey. He didn’t mind it all at just thought it was cute. He leaned over to run his fingers through sheep’s coat once again before straightening back up on the bed. Watching Roa thinking about what kind of snacks she liked. Warren’s favorite are fruit rolls ups, it wasn’t the best thing but he was addicted. She then began to tell him her small list of favorites. He nodded to the water, he was a water hog. He couldn’t keep enough of it around him; of course powerade was a close second.
“I agree that would be the best. Plus I can always pick up some of my favorite also. Oh new Zealand exotic, was it awesome there? I’ve always wanted to visit that side of the world. Just haven’t had the chance to yet. Oh are you close with your brother? Did he come here also? I don’t have any siblings I’m an only child.”
He didn’t mean to sound so nosey but they were fairly general questions and he did give a piece of information about himself back to her. He always wondered what it would be like to have siblings. The closest thing he had to a brother was Alfred. Which was nice that he had finally met up with him again here. He grinned up at Roa as if to say I mean no harm with the questions. He didn’t want to open a can of worms that could ruin a clearly blossoming friendship.Word count- 911 Tag: Roa/Jez-E Notes: none Lyrics: Wave Of Mutilation- Pixies

There's only one place left, I want to go Who says you can't go home? AKAROA MAUI GREENSTONE ==================================== Roa immediately started rethinking her defence of the dorm staff. She wasn’t trying to pick a side and wondered if he would hold it against her. She quickly remedied it as fast as she could manage. ”I didn’t mean to belittle the situation. I just meant that maybe they had a reason. I am sure they didn’t mean to upset you. Maybe they were just being careless or maybe they had a reason.”
she said, trying to remain neutral in the situation but not talk down the situation her new roommate had been in. That was Roa for you, confident in herself, but when it came to other people, she had no back bone...well unless the situation was in dire need of it! Roa’s passive nature made it difficult for her to actually hate anyone. Dislike she could do. But it was limited and her capacity to hold a grudge was small. She just hoped Warren was similar. Roa wasn’t difficult to live with and was more than a little fond of compromise. As long as they worked with open communication they could make this work as roommates. Roa was comfortable here and Warren was a new addition that she had been expecting for some time. She didn’t even once consider that she may be alone in her dorm. In fact, that was why all the major signs of what she was were carefully hidden...well except Kiwi and Sheep. It was a bit hard to hide real, live, animated animals. Roa was surprised to hear he hadn’t really been anywhere but here and his home. ”I guess a lot of students haven’t travelled much at a young age. I’ve been many places around the world...but most of time has been spent in Australia, China or at home in New Zealand. I have been to Canada more than a few times too, so perhaps it is the contact with other people that led to my clear observance of accents?” she suggested. She had already made up a story claiming she had friends of the ‘family’ who travelled frequently and allowed her these opportunities. It wasn’t a lie, so she didn’t get all clammed up when she told it. Roa had to tread carefully. The girl just couldn’t lie to anyone. Roa laughed when Warren suggested he had enough to worry about without making enemies with a Sheep. ”I imagine so. Sheep can be real nasty when he wants to be. Kiwi is tolerant but Sheep is by far the more frightening enemy. You could say Kiwi understands people better than Sheep.” she explained, trying to keep things in the descriptive area brief. Of course Kiwi understood better than Sheep. Kiwi could talk and reason, Sheep could reason and express but not speak like a human. ”He peed on her bed and on her shoes, ran under her feet to trip her, got into anything and everything and left a mess for her to clean up...oh and he often took to following her around and Baaaing obnoxiously.” Roa explained with a shrug. ”She was far from friendly so I guess she got what was coming to her.” Roa agreed, though she didn’t envy the poor lady the torment. Roa wasn’t nasty by nature so it was hard for her to imagine intentionally bullying someone. However, Sheep had done that for her. She smiled when he agreed to avoid the gas-ey food substances. Last time Sheep had eaten a potato it had ended in poop all over the floor. Luckily, Roa hadn’t had to clean it up...But she had paid for the repercussions with dirty looks from the staff. ”Yup. Greener is better.” she agreed with a smile. Roa grinned innocently as Sheep snuffed around in the boxes. The Sheep turned to rub himself into Warren’s hand delighted at the attention. He looked at him a moment after the boy sat back up before going back to snooping, this time dragging a pencil out of one of the boxes, chewing it a bit before moving on. ”What are your favourite snacks? Maybe we can pool to make a list of must haves in the fridge and cupboards. That way we always have a stock.” She suggested. Roa shrugged. She didn’t find New Zealand exotic at all. Of course being from a place killed any notion of it as exoity. ”It can be awesome.” she offered with a nod. ”Right now we have some pretty cool sightseeing. And the Zorbing can’t be beat by anywhere else.” She said with a grin. ”Maybe you can visit sometime?” she said, not really confident it would happen, but you never know. ”Hm...We are pretty close. He should be here at some point. Maybe he already is. Last I talked to him we were both preparing for the trip here. So I imagine in time he’ll show his face.” She said. ”If he finally lets me know he is here, I will be sure to introduce you.” Hearing Warren was an only child almost made Roa tell him that it was for all intensive purposes that her and her brother were siblings but certainly not by birth. She held it back for fear of the questions that would inevitably follow.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Warren Pierce •• •• Words • 872 •• •• Outfit • Blue jeans, a slim tank top with a red over-shirt and a pair of black knee high boots. •• •• Lyrics • "Who says you can’t go home" By Bon Jovi ••

Cease to resist, giving my goodbye Drive my car into the oceanYou'll think I'm dead, but I sail away “Oh no your fine I didn’t take it like that at all. I bet they did have a justified reason I’m just being a child about it. Usually I’m not a big complainer, but I really wanted that dorm change. Maybe they could see how mad I was getting every time I had to return so they bumped me up on the list.”
He smiled and waved his hand as if he was saying don’t worry about it. It took a lot to make Warren mad it didn’t bother him that she maybe didn’t agree. She seemed as if she didn’t want to ruffle any feathers here. She was much like him in that way more of a looker than a doer. Staying in the shadows and surveying the scene instead of trying to rush in head first with out knowing what was going on. They were going to get along perfectly and some what walking on egg shells trying to make the other person happy. He was sure they would find a nice groove once they truly got to know each other. With his last dorm mate they find a nice flow for a while until he began making a mess of there things. But it had been a year before anything crazy happened. Warren wasn’t to worried this was his last year at new world, so if anything did go on that neither of them liked he was gone at the end of this school year.
From what he could see right now they weren’t going to have any crazy problems. Possibly disagreements because who didn’t have those but nothing major was going to go on. He was quite happy for that he wanted his last year to be smooth sailing all around. It looked like this year he was going to be granted that wish. He looked around the room and besides hi boxes everything was neat. She seemed to be almost too perfect of a roomie he just hoped this wasn’t some sort of illusion. Warren would find out soon enough if it were although he highly doubted it. Glancing back at Roa he eyed Kiwi again the bird was puffy and cute looking. He wondered how long she had the bird but didn’t want to bring anything up if he was super old and a year or two away from passing away. So instead he appreciated her response before he had time to open his mouth again.
“Yeah this is the only traveling I’ve done. I hope to travel for at least a year after I’m done with school and go explore the world. Not sure where I’m going or would even want to go. Wow you’ve spent a lot of time traveling it looks like. How is china? Are the customs majorly different than here? Probably you’ve been around different cultures so it makes sense you can pick up on different accents.”
Roa was interesting to Warren she actually has had the opportunities to travel. He bet she had some fun stories to tell. Maybe once they got to know each other better she would open up and share some with him.
“Does sheep have days that he just acts up? Or is it more you have to provoke him and then he does? How does Kiwi understand people more? I suppose so, sheep seems to have a good sense of people about him.”
Warren grinned as she said greener is better it should be a slogan for sheep. He didn’t want to have poop all over the dorm. It probably wouldn’t be a very fun experience for any of them. So he would remember to keep Sheep around green foods rather than gas-y foods. When he rubbed his hands across sheep’s pelt he couldn’t help smiling and it grew bigger as he saw sheep chewing on a pencil. His thoughts moving back to Roa as she spoke.
“I like fruit roll ups a lot more than some one honestly should. Also string cheese is a favorite of mine, I just like that you can pull it off or just eat it as a whole. And water is a must, I could drink water all day long.”
He watched Roa shrug her shoulders to New Zealand being exotic. He figured once you lived there all that wonder kind of goes away. Like when you lived in America it really wasn’t that big of a deal. He had met some people from Las Vegas once he was so excited to hear what Vegas was like but to them it was just there city. The flashing lights were boring and old; then again when you see things like that every day it made sense.
“Zorbing? I would love to visit, might be one of my first travels. Then of course I’d have to visit Australia. And of course I could then say yes I’ve been down unda” tries to mimic and Australian accent but doe a terrible job of it. “Oh so you both are gifted that’s awesome. Do you two usually go everywhere together? If I had a sibling I’d probably be attached to there side. That would be awesome I’ll be looking forward to that introduction.”
Warren wondered if maybe he did have a sibling. He was an orphan but that doesn’t mean who ever his parents were didn’t have another child. It made him wonder what if, then again it’s not like they could ever meet he was a mutant who would take that in with open arms?Word count- 925 Tag: Roa/Jez-E Notes: none Lyrics: Wave Of Mutilation- Pixies

There's only one place left, I want to go Who says you can't go home? AKAROA MAUI GREENSTONE ==================================== Roa felt her cheeks flush with color as he doubled over and justified his answer. ”I...I didn’t mean that I thought you were...I just...I like to give people the benefit of the doubt...”
She stuttered out, stumbling over herself and concerned she may have offended him in some way. She really didn’t mean to sound like she was making excuses for them but ultimately she wanted to believe they were trying to help him. It was very true. Both Warren and Roa had that trait in common. Roa was one to sit by and observer a situation. If she gave her input it was meant to steer things into a more comfortable or less confrontational ground. She was someone to watch and listen and make an informed choice not dive into something. She was more than a little concerned that her actions may upset someone or give them the wrong idea. The truth was, that aspect of her personality mostly came from the whole nation aspect. You never knew which nation was in a volatile mood after all. Best not to piss them off... Roa’s cleanliness was also a bit of a compulsion on the girl’s part. She wanted to be sure everything was kept well for herself as much as for someone else. Mess may become an issue of contention between them with time but she was so far quite pleased with the arrangement. He seemed nice and willing to compromise. It was always a good sign when a person valued the other person’s input and comfort. Kiwi was trying to appear disinterested as Roa’s conversation with Warren continued. He was curious about Warren though and the bird was frequently skimming over Warren with interest and curiosity. Of course, when he turned to look again he noted Warren’s eyes on him and immediately tilted his head and turned to the side to nuzzle Roa’s cheek. Roa half nuzzled back as she focused in on the rest of what Warren had to say, this time their conversation continuing about travel. ”I am sure that I could help a little bit there. Give me time to understand your interests and I will suggest some places...” she offered. Roa nodded when he mentioned her travelling a lot. ”China is enjoyable. I find the art, dishes and pottery there very beautiful. They also have some great food. Though, in some areas it can get a bit cramped...” she offered. ”Lots of people would do that after all...” Roa explained. She nodded her head, not to agree with his idea on the accents but because it was easier than trying to make up a truth. She knew a lot more about accents because of the fact that she was a Nation and dealt with other nations on a regular basis. She easily noted their difference in pronunciation and a lot of accents differed in small ticks in the way a particular sound was pronounced. Roa grinned mischievously when Warren asked if Sheep had bad days. ”He does. I think everyone does. He’s usually tolerant but he can be a bit fussy when in certain situations. It won’t be directed at you unless you deserve it generally...” she explained. Now Kiwi was much more complicated. ”He just does? Sheep is more selfish I guess and Kiwi is more aware? But both are socially aware I guess...” she said, trying to explain it without implying that they were both 100% aware of what was being said and that both were more than intelligent enough to completely understand spoken words. Roa couldn’t help a small laugh as he admitted he loved fruit roll ups a lot. Cheese strings were a nice one, Roa enjoyed those too. ”Well, lots of water. Sounds like we should pick up a second filter jug for water. Its better for the environment to avoid bottled water.” She explained. ”Also, The garbage has a divider. One side is paper and cardboard, one is compost and one is recycling. The lone one under the sink is for everything else. It’s pretty clear which is which...I tend to be a bit fussy about environmental issues...” She explained, since the topic rounded to that. She grinned as he asked what Zorbing was. A lot of people were completely unaware of the lovely thing she called Zorbs. ”Zorbing is basically tumbling down hills or running around in a giant bubble. Think almost like a rodent ball, only...biggger.” she explained with a huge smile. It was one of her favourite pastimes. ”They have a clip of the Lord of the Rings cast doing it on the DVD. I can use it to show you if you like...” Roa kept her mouth shut about the bad accent seeing as it was meant to be a joke. ”Yes, we are both gifted. We don’t really go everywhere together. I mean, we live separate. We spend plenty of time together but nothing quite like being together all the time.” she said, trying to recall if there was a time when they were really close to the point of attachment.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Warren Pierce •• •• Words • 848 •• •• Outfit • Blue jeans, a slim tank top with a red over-shirt and a pair of black knee high boots. •• •• Lyrics • "Who says you can’t go home" By Bon Jovi ••
