Cease to resist, giving my goodbye
Drive my car into the ocean
You'll think I'm dead, but I sail away
Drive my car into the ocean
You'll think I'm dead, but I sail away
Warren shook his head as she kept in he way trying to mend things. Nothing was broken and Warren had tough skin, not that this situation called for it. He waved his hand as if signaling a white flag. He saw he cheeks begin to redden and he didn’t want her to feel like she had done something wrong. She actually made a very valid point and he didn’t want her to second-guess herself about that. He wasn’t trying to make her feel bad in any way shape or form. He figured that once they got to know each other they would understand each other more. But for now he decided to just make her feel as good as he was capable of.
“No, really Roa it’s ok, I’m glad you told me about the flip side of things. Helps me to believe they weren’t just out to get me.”
He hoped offering this up would help put her at ease that he wasn’t angry or anything like it. Also he didn’t want her to be uncomfortable about talking to him. For they would have to communicate a lot since they were now roomies. And tiptoeing around subjects can make things a bit complicated. It seemed they wouldn’t have too much trouble but that’s if they cleared this up right away. They were similar in many ways; he just didn’t want that to get jumbled up along the way. It was hard to make Warren angry so maybe he should just tell her that it was ok to speak her mind around him. Even if it wasn’t what he wanted to hear, he could take it he was a big boy.
“Don’t think that you can’t speak your mind around me, I promise I won’t bit or get angry. Not sure if you haven’t noticed but usually girls are the stuck up ones who get crazy if you say something that isn’t right. I respect you and as long as we have a mutual not crossing crazy lines, nothing you say can make me storm out of here like I’m twelve. Believe me I’ve been through those years and they weren’t pretty.”
Smiling as he ended his small speech he hoped it helped more than hurt. The last thing he wanted to do was hurt her feelings. He just figured she ought to know that in here with him she could be as open as she wanted. He wouldn’t take offence and if he happened to find something she said offending which he doubted he wouldn’t take it out on her. He couldn’t help it if she said something he didn’t like, just like she couldn’t help it if he said something she didn’t like. Then again that was human nature right? Well at least that was nature for a non mind reader you can’t stay away from not hurting someone’s feelings on accident. That’s why they called them accidents right?
“Well I’m sure me and sheep will have bad days just like everyone does it happens. As long as he doesn’t poop everywhere we are good. Or rip things up, I really do like my comforter and bed sheets.” Warren nodded as Roa explained. “Well that’s good, I guess we won’t be striking up conversations anytime soon then.”
He joked; little did Warren know he could strike up conversations with both. But for now he was in the dark no idea that Roa was a nation and that Kiwi and Sheep were more intelligent than she was letting on. If only Warren knew he would be shocked and probably speechless. But for now he was left on his own not knowing what the truth was. He looked at Roa as she gave a small laugh at his love of fruit roll ups.
“Oh, not really an environmental bug, but jugs of water sound find to me. I’ll just pick up a reusable water canteen. That way I can take water with me to class, for some reason that’s when I get the thirstiest.” He raised a brow as she said there was a garbage divider. He had never used one before but it couldn’t be that hard to remember could it? “Well I might have to put tags on them so I remember or else garbage will be put everywhere. I’m good at cleaning up dishes and things, the only problem I have is cleaning up the room. But I will try my best to put things away, sometimes I’m just a scatter brain.”
He wondered if it was weird that he didn’t know what zorbing was. It might just be a New Zealand thing, then again he didn’t get out much as a child so therefore it would explain his lack of knowledge. But as she explained what it was his eyes lit up this was something knew and exciting.
“Yeah I would like to see that, do you think you could get a hold of some and we could try it? It sounds really fun and possibly a little dangerous. And I’m guessing you have tried it before?” Warren nodded as she talked about her brother. “Oh well I suppose that’s what siblings do when they get older, they grow apart from each other.” He figured to turn the topic away from her brother. “So what are you studying here?”
