A PIZZA HUT A PIZZA HUT KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN AND A PIZZA HUT MCDONALDS MCDONALDS
----------------------------------"I'd do what I could, but you have to make sure you do your part too."
It was true that Alfred only held so much clout, even considering what he was. Short of a revolution, a president always, always had the ability to overrule Alfred in the end. It was the way the boss thing worked. If Warren looked closely at Alfred, he would see that Alfred fidgeted slightly at his words. It was only a slight motion, hardly noticeable, but present nonetheless. "Well yeah, that's kinda the point. People are allowed to disagree." Not that it wasn't sometimes frustrating. He wasn't a huge fan of the two party system, but it was what it was. Alfred laughed at Warren's next suggestion. "Well, if they were already suspicious of me, they'd probably take a second look! Or a third! He knew this from experience, from the three girls who managed to work out the nation mystery. He just hoped that there weren't too many others at the school like them. It wasn't like he wanted everyone at the school to know who he was, to know who the others were, though more and more humans seemed to be finding out. Warren was another to add to the list, but given their history, Alfred minded much less with Warren than with any of the other humans he'd told thus far. He grinned when Warren mentioned a crush. "Don't need to worry about that. I already got a girlfriend!" He'd been dating Chaya for about five or six weeks now. A relatively short amount of time, given how long he'd lived already, but he still considered her to be his girlfriend. "And she already knows!" Alfred added the last bit as an afterthought. He didn't mention that Chaya knew because she was a nation as well, but again, if Warren did enough deducing, he might be able to figure it out. Soon, Warren gave him a noogie in return, and Alfred moved backward a little, laughing. "Hey, watch Nantucket!" He stated with a grin, smoothing out his hair. Regardless of how much he tried, though, one hair stayed up per usual. It was to the point where Alfred hardly even tried to pat that one down. Then Warren playfully punched him. Alfred mimed falling backward in slow motion. He carried on this act (still grinning though) for a moment or so before sitting up and punching Warren playfully in return. So needless to say I'm odds and ends But that's me stumbling awaySlowly learning that life is OK. Say after me It's no better to be safe than sorry “Well don’t worry I don’t think I’ll be getting myself in to that much trouble. I’ve stayed pretty low key so far; I mean it hasn’t been an issue yet. But thank you it’s comforting to know that you’d have my back bro.”
He grinned wide; he knew that Alfred had a boss, which was the president. So Warren suspected that Alfred didn’t have the full pull in every decision that was made. It was just reassuring that Alfred would do everything in his power to get him out of the mess. Warren couldn’t see anything in the future that he would be in that situation. He was glad that he mostly kept out of trouble and it didn’t come around to find him. He didn’t need that on his shoulders along with his secret. Warren had actually missed the movement being off in his own world of praise that he wasn’t a troublemaker. He snapped out of his reverie as Alfred began talking.
“True it’s what makes America, well America. You can’t disagree with that, I love that country. It’s almost as if we have this tight bond like I’ve known him all my life.”
Warren glances at Alfred with a smile playing on his lips. He still couldn’t believe that Alfred was America. It was going to take him a while to process this information, even though he knew it wouldn’t change how he saw Alfred. It might make disasters in America a bit crazier for him, hoping Alfred was ok. Besides that he was still the same old Alfred he knew when he was younger. It was weird how he had now grown to an age older than Alfred. He wondered how long Alfred would live, as long as America stood? Or would he eventually die and be reincarnated back in to a child? Warren really couldn’t see Alfred disappearing as long as his nation was still standing.
“Yeah, but I doubt I know anyone who knows you. And even if I did like I said your secret is safe with me. Besides it would be a shame if both our secrets were to surface. I’m not any more important than you are. We are both government protected with the official seal on our asses if anything bad goes down. I have a feeling I’m more stealth than you though.”
Strokes his chin and gives him best James bond look but fails miserably. It was terrible at being serious most of the time. He liked to make people laugh and smile; it was just in his nature. Warren could be serious when it came down to it, like schoolwork, friends chatting about a break up or crush. Even then still he would find a funny outlet and make them laugh and feeling less embarrassed with what they were confiding in him. When it came to schoolwork though there was no wiggle room he just got it done as fast as he possibly could.
“Ohhhh girlfriend, see then you have nothing to worry about. If she all ready knows then there isn’t that issue of a big secret. That’s one of the things I’m frightened of; I would never be able to be completely honest with someone. Maybe that’s why I always play the goofy guy friend. It’s just easier that way…”
Warren thought on it for a moment he hadn’t ever really admitted that to anyone. He shook his head and he let go of Alfred after giving him a noogie he referred to a piece of his hair as Nantucket. Warren looked at him slightly crazy eyed but let it drop. He wondered if his brother was going insane naming parts of him self. He shrugged it off laughing along as Alfred tried to smooth his hair down. That one piece of his hair just not wanting to cooperate. Warren sat peacefully until Alfred punched him sending Warren flying. His molecules speeding up and he was off in a flash of an eye. Barely missing a damn tree by inches, he eyed the tree almost wanting to put up his hands in a boxing position. Warren then walked back over to Alfred well walked back over in his molecular hyper speed. He then cooled his molecules down and became in sync once again with normal time. He was now on Alfred’s left standing, looking down at the fellow.
“Well that wasn’t very nice! I think I have a bruise on my shoulder. Is this what I thought I was missing by having a big brother?”
Warren lets out a manly deep laugh. Then begins to rub his arm a bit.Word Count:765 Tag:Alfred/Mandee Notes: None Lyrics: Take on me- A-HA

A PIZZA HUT A PIZZA HUT KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN AND A PIZZA HUT MCDONALDS MCDONALDS
----------------------------------Alfred just continued to grin and gave Warren a thumbs up.
I love that country. It’s almost as if we have this tight bond like I’ve known him all my life.
At that, Alfred let out a snort. "All your life? We met when you were five, dude."
He was teasing, of course, as he was wont to do. That said, as often as he watched people grow up, he rarely had the chance to catch up with them after they'd done so. It was kind of nice for a change. "Again, you never know. Not saying you should ask around or anything, just sayin' that you'd be surprised." It was so tempting to throw out hints! He figured the vague hints that he was dropping though were good enough. Warren was a smart kid. He could figure it out (or at least that was the hope). Alfred's eyebrow went up as a smirk came across his face. "You're more stealthy than me? That sounds like a challenge." When it came down to it, both of them could probably be pretty stealthy. Having been in a good number of wars, Alfred had the experience on his side. Warren, though, had been genetically engineered with special abilities that would help him in his own endeavors. He could move so fast that it practically rivaled Russia's teleporting. ...which was still creepy as hell. Why did he now have a mental picture of Russia standing over his bed watching him sleep? Why? It sent a chill through his spine. Alfred shrugged. "Not necessarily a bad position to be in. You can play the field more that way!" He knew this all too well from experience. It wasn't like he'd told most humans he'd slept or "dated" who he actually was. Mind, there was only one human he could actually say he dated seriously, and that was back during the Revolutionary War days. Given how well that had turned out, Alfred vowed never again on that front. He couldn't help but get attached to some humans though. And as much as it pained him sometimes, he wouldn't trade that for the world. But adding romance to that equation was just a bit too much. He'd stick with fellow nations. Warren was more like Alfred than either of them likely saw. They both had a habit of trying to make light of things, though both could be serious when the time called for it. They both had a habit of teasing almost everyone they came in contact with. Was it a coincidence or did it have to do with Alfred's influence? Sure, he was only around for six years of Warren's life previously, but that didn't mean that he didn't have an effect. Alfred's eyes did widen as he saw Warren nearly go flying into a tree. Then Warren practically vanished from Alfred's vision, and Alfred had to remove his glasses and rub at his eyes. It was odd - He hadn't really needed the glasses when he'd first gotten them, but yet his eyes grew to need them over time. As it turned out, though, it wasn't Alfred's eyes that were playing tricks on him - It was Warren's power. The blond let out a sheepish laugh as Warren appeared next to him. "Sure is! Doesn't it live up to everything you've hoped for?" Given that Warren was standing, Alfred decided to go up to his feet as well. "Besides, I thought you might like flying." A grin played across his lips at the joke. So needless to say I'm odds and ends But that's me stumbling awaySlowly learning that life is OK. Say after me It's no better to be safe than sorry “Yeah yeah! But my life didn’t truly start till I met you. Hence all my life, so HA I win!”
Grins at his illogical reasoning about how he has known Alfred all his life. This was the banter he had missed no one else would chatter with him like this. Not that Alfred and Warren had conversations like this when he was a child. It was just nice that they could finally talk like this now and with ease. He raised a brow and wondered what Alfred meant. He guessed that someone had found out at school with out Alfred telling him. He wondered who it was, and how someone could be that nosy in other peoples lives. Suddenly Warren thought about his own secret, if they could figure out Alfred’s they could figure out his.
“Who is it Alfred? Who found out? I’m just… concerned about my own secret, it can’t come out. Unlike you I don’t have the privilege of letting people know and trying to shush them. Well maybe I do... I haven’t told any one besides you but our government could probably care less about that.”
He wiggled around a bit feeling uncomfortable. It killed him that his secret could become public. And if there were others like Alfred which he suspected there were, they probably wouldn’t like him too much either. He was America’s weapon if something crazy went down. He was the back up plan to shit getting crazy. Warren almost wished that they had picked a more courageous person for this job. His sensitive demeanor was no match for someone with more bravery. Or even just a person who would step up to the plate when his country called. He wished he was more like Alfred just ready to go and fight no matter what.
“Psh, yeah I am. Zero people know who I am; I’ve kept such a low-key profile. Besides who would think that I am anything more than a goofy guy. I have the perfect cover! You on the other hand secrets lay with in your eyes. You can see them floating around in your brain. I think this is a challenge.”
Warren smirked as he challenged Alfred, he wasn’t much for competition but this was just fun. If it did get to crazy he would just name Alfred the winner. It was an easy out and Alfred would feel like he won. Although a forfeit was technically not a win at all just a stale mate never to be resolved. Warren thought about it for a moment if they did take on this challenge. The facts were Alfred and Warren were pretty well matched. Alfred had years of experience over him with being in wars. See how strategies could pan out good or bad. He also had military on his side, and possibly favors with one call it could all be over. But Warren had his powers on his side, not to mention who knows what else was really in that serum his parents sometimes spoke in cryptic messages about what they gave him. He shook his head with a smile thinking it would be a good game either way.
“Play what field? The field of girls that run away or put me in the dug out also known as the friend’s zone? I mean I thought it was normal when girls ran away from me in elementary school. I just didn’t figure it would continue all the way through college. Aren’t I supposed to have five girls hanging off of me at all times by now?”
Laughs at this lame attempt of a joke. But some where in his mind he thought it would be true. Even though when he asked some of the lab technicians they said all through school they only remember doing schoolwork. Warren figured that they wanted to be scientists of course they wouldn’t have time for girls. Especially since they were in the government doing experiments or checking up on Warren. He still got monthly blood samples taken to make sure his body didn’t decide to reject the mutant cells now. It wasn’t likely that his cells would now take a turn for the worst. But if they did, well the whole lab would know in a hot second. That’s the only time he went back to America once a month to be stuck in a chair for a good ten minutes then he was free to leave for school again. It was a pain in the ass but Warren wanted to make sure that his powers weren’t secretly eating him away every time he used them.
Warren felt the adrenaline rushing in his veins. He had a close call but it’s not like Alfred did it on purpose. He almost forgot how strong Alfred was luckily Warren was faster instead of stronger. That tree looked like it was calling his name and he dodge it thank goodness. He figured a bump or slam like that wouldn’t be very fun to wake up to. As he bounced around in hyperspeed, he watched Alfred gave out a laugh as he came back to a stop.
“Sure it does, besides the massive bruise I’m going to have for the next few weeks. Oh yes I’ve always wanted to soar in the air. Preferably not in to a tree, maybe more in the sky. Then again I was never one to fly till recently back and forth from here to America.”Word Count: 912 Tag:Alfred/Mandee Notes: None Lyrics: Take on me- A-HA

A PIZZA HUT A PIZZA HUT KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN AND A PIZZA HUT MCDONALDS MCDONALDS
----------------------------------Alfred was having fun with the banter as well. A surefire sign that he was getting along well with someone was their ability to banter. The fact that Warren was able to keep up was a fantastic sign.
His smile dropped slightly when he saw just how worried Warren was. "A few girls. I don't think they'll suspect you though. Since finding out about me, I'm pretty sure they're following the nation trail. They already know I'm America, so they probably won't give you a second look. They'll just think you're another American exchange student."
Hopefully that would be enough to make Warren feel better about the situation. Alfred smirked when Warren seemed receptive to the idea of a friendly little competition between them. "I think it is." He shook his head at Warren's next words. "Ouch, man. That's rough." He didn't even know what to say to that. Fortunately, the subject switched when Alfred's playful punch sent Warren flying. It was a very good thing that he'd missed the tree. Between Alfred's strength and Warren's speed, Warren would have likely ended up in the hospital, and the tree knocked over - if not worse. "Sorry about the bruise. Happens sometimes. You're in good company though, if it helps any? I sent George Washington flying into a wall the first time we met from a clap on the back." Alfred was actually blushing a little at this, though he was also grinning like mad. There were a lot of awkward situations that came with his strength, but sending the man he came to think of as his father flying into a wall when they first met? Yeah, that was near the top. "Wonder what it would be like to fly without a plane? I mean, I love planes, don't get me wrong. I used to fly 'em sometimes, in the world wars." Hence the bomber jacket that he still often wore to this day - although not as much at New World Academy thus far, given that it was summer and it was a little too hot to wear a bomber jacket around. So needless to say I'm odds and ends But that's me stumbling awaySlowly learning that life is OK. Say after me It's no better to be safe than sorry Warren rubbed his temples as he listened to Alfred say that it would be ok. That the girls are on the nation trail. He blinked his eyes for a moment coming to the realization Alfred was pretty much saying there’s other nations for them to discover. To even be worrying about you for the moment. Warren wondered how many other students were actual nations and here right now. He nodded his head when the mention of they will just think you another American exchange student came up. It was true Warren was so plain sometimes he’d think the government would forget about him if he didn’t have to go back so often.
“Alfred, how many more Nations are there? You just make it sound like those girls will be busy for a while.”
He let his thoughts run away from him for a second. Wondering how these girls even jumped to that conclusion. Were they some type of spy or just to nosy for there own good? He figured the second; since he didn’t even have proof spies existed. Shaken from his thoughts Alfred agreed that the competition was on. So did that mean Warren was winning all ready since no one knew about him? Or do they start form this moment? He shook his head laughing at the idea of this. His brother’s next words slightly stung. It was rough and there was nothing he could do so he let that conversation drop like a dead fly.
“What?! I can’t believe you did that to our first president! Did you know at that point how strong you were or do you just forget?”
Laughing he had so hold his sides. He was mentally picking Alfred a bit younger and just sending the president soaring through the air. He finally calmed him self down to the point where the laughter was just in spurts and every now an then. Till they finally stopped completely.
“I bet it feels wonderful, almost like a bird. Just being able to glide and feel the wind on your face. It sounds like the perfect power to be able to get away for an hour or two and just live up in the clouds. You used to fly them? I bet that was awesome! Your like tom cruise in top gun… or maybe more like Charlie sheen in hot shots.”Word Count:395 Tag:Alfred/Mandee Notes: None Lyrics: Take on me- A-HA

A PIZZA HUT A PIZZA HUT KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN AND A PIZZA HUT MCDONALDS MCDONALDS
----------------------------------The slip-up was by no means intentional. He'd only meant to reassure Warren. Unfortunately, in his haste to reassure the young man, he'd accidentally full out admitted what he'd only been hinting to previously.
Alfred shot Warren a lopsided yet amused smile. "How many nations are there in the world?"
Not that every nation in the world was present at New World Academy, but Warren hadn't asked that. He'd only asked how many nations there were period. Alfred hadn't even considered what Warren actually meant by the question. "Oh, I knew how strong I was. I was just so excited to finally meet the leader of the Continental Army that I kinda got a bit carried away. He was alright though. A little shaken up, but alright." The red on Alfred's cheeks was slowly starting to fade, though the grin on his face remained just as wide as it had been. "Tommy was a little more freaked out. I kinda went up to him and picked him up right off of his feet and swung him around. What can I say, I was excited! This was the dude that wrote my Declaration of Independence!" There was a note of admiration in Alfred's voice, coupling nicely with the excitement ever present, even though Alfred was describing an event that happened over two hundred years prior. "But yeah, I knew since I was a colony." From the way Alfred spoke, it was obvious that "colony" for Alfred translated to "child" for someone like Warren. "Artie used to get really pissed when I'd throw buffaloes through the wall..." It was rare that Alfred had the chance to talk to someone this candidly, other than other nations and his bosses. He didn't even stop to consider how much information he was bombarding Warren with at once. He was too caugh tup in his stories! Fortunately, judging by Warren's laughter, his audience was amused. Alfred beamed. "I did fly them! You remember that bomber jacket I was wearing when I first met ya? I've had to get that patched up a few times, but that's from all the way back in WW2. The 50, of course, wasn't added till 1959." Given that the 50 was a reference to 50 states, that only stood to reason. "It's been a while since I've done it, though...I kinda miss it." Alfred stretched his arms and cracked his back, still adjusting to being back on his feet. So needless to say I'm odds and ends But that's me stumbling awaySlowly learning that life is OK. Say after me It's no better to be safe than sorry Warren blinked thinking about all the nations there were. He figured they all had a human representation of them floating about somewhere, if not right here at new world. He couldn’t help but give Alfred a blank stare as he took in this information. He was ok with Alfred being a nation but to know there were many more over whelmed him. Or maybe just the situation in its entirety was now actually sinking in to his thick skull. He let everything wash over him; it wasn’t to bad as long as most of them were like Alfred. Warren figured each nation would have its own personality. Much like people do, not everyone is the same and countries are most definitely not the same.
“Your hilarious only you would get so excited to pick up someone important with your strength. And poor Tommy you swung him around? I guess you get too though I mean you are a nation what are they going to do ban you from picking up people?”
Laughs at the conversation the two were having. He could only imagine Alfred getting so excited he just couldn’t help but use all his strength. He seemed almost giddy as he relived the experience again by telling Warren. He was glad they could still easily talk about things with out a hitch. It was almost like they had never lost touch over the years and that was comforting in it’s self. This type of friendship was something usual people wouldn’t be able to reconnect with and just pick up. He then listened to Alfred telling him he would throw buffalo’s through the wall. Warren’s eyes lit up with surprise, he really couldn’t see Alfred throwing a heavy animal through a wall!
“What?! Those poor confused animals! I’m surprised Artie didn’t have a panic attack while you were doing that. Shoot when I was a kid and I had a crayon and was just thinking about coloring on the walls my mother would come scoop me up and use her stern voice with me. If I threw something through a wall my mother probably would have chucked me in to a wall also.”
Warren rubs a hand through his hair. It was true him mother was an amazing women. But she wanted him to have manors above everything else. It was one of her pet peeves for children to act like animals. And since he had morphed from just a project to her son she was determined to make him polite. She didn’t mind when he was a baby and flung around food. But when he got older and tried to play her, oh he had another thing coming and fast.
“I think so… it was such a long time ago. I’m sure if I saw it again I’d remember. I bet flying is awesome! You should take me one day when you brush up a bit. And maybe not tell everyone we are going flying. I think my mother would kill me and you at the same time.”Word Count:509 Tag:Alfred/Mandee Notes: Meh not my best post. Lyrics: Take on me- A-HA

A PIZZA HUT A PIZZA HUT KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN AND A PIZZA HUT MCDONALDS MCDONALDS
----------------------------------Alfred continued to smile while Warren processed what Alfred was telling him. Again, he knew it was a shock to any human, but it was something that he was quite used to.
"Hey, I wasn't trying to pick him up. I was just giving him a clap on the back! I misjudged it though. You also gotta keep in mind that at the time, I'd just gone through a huge growth spurt. So things were still a little off."
His growth spurt at the time leading up to the Revolution mimed normal human growth. Not a big deal for a human, obviously, but considering childhood for his kind could last as long as several hundred years? Alfred growing 8 physical years in 8 actual years was definitely unusual, and it did take some time for Alfred to cope. Though he didn't have the same excuse with Thomas Jefferson. That had been excitement all around. "Oh, the buffalo were alright in the end. A little dizzy, but they got up and walked off just fine." Otherwise he probably would have felt bad. He started laughing at Warren's statement about Arthur, his laughter only continuing when Warren shared anecdotes about his mother. "Oh, believe me, he had his share of panic attacks. Allow me to demonstrate." Alfred cleared his throat, then began to speak in a British accent. "What the blazes are you doing in here, America? I was making tea when I heard a commotion...BLOODY HELL WHY IS THERE A BUFFALO IN THE HOUSE?" The British accent was surprisingly well done, though when one took into consideration the fact that Alfred was to some extent raised by England himself, it took a lot of the surprising factor away. Alfred had heard enough of that voice over the years to be able to do a pretty good imitation of it. "It is, and I'd be happy to take ya! Don't worry, I won't tell anyone either. Though your mom really has little to worry about..." Given that he'd flown in a few wars, he liked to say that he was pretty experienced overall... So needless to say I'm odds and ends But that's me stumbling awaySlowly learning that life is OK. Say after me It's no better to be safe than sorry “Still you sent him flying. I’m sure he didn’t appreciate that, at the same time. Shouldn’t he have known how strong you were? I mean I’m surprise I have run for the hills yet. After the attack that just happened. I’d say things are still a little off, but your still young right?”
Warren could only imagine how he would be if he was super strong. He would probably send things flying as well. Even with his power it took a while for him to be able to control it. He remembered once he flew around labs like a wild child once when they tried to stick him with needles. It wasn’t his fault he just got scared the man who usually drew his blood wasn’t there and some scary women in a mask were hovering around him. She tried to be sweet but the five-year-old boy was just anxious. When she began her count down he couldn’t take it and just ran like the wind. It took the whole lab a couple hours to find him and even then it took a couple more hours to settle him down.
“Well at least the buffalo was ok. I’m surprised it didn’t attack you after the assault!
Begins to laugh as he puts on a nice British accent. He wondered if Alfred and Arthur still spoke but decided not to act on the question. It didn’t seem like it anyway this was the first time he had brought him up.
“Well don’t worry my mom would have acted the same way. She probably would have been more hysterical since I’m not strong. It would be an awkward situation to say at the very least. How much trouble did you get in for putting a buffalo through the house?”
Nodding enthusiastically as Alfred offered to take Warren flying. He was slightly nervous thinking about being so high up. But then again he did take flights every month back to America. This would be slightly different though Alfred would be at the wheel. He bounced back and fourth quite happy thinking that would be spectacular if they actually got to. He wasn’t sure if they would have to wait a while so Alfred could get trained up again. Not sure how much has changed on planes since the last time Alfred flew one. He was positive the man could pick it up again, it’s like riding a bike right?
“Lets just say we will never tell mom and it’s a top secret mission if we do. I don’t know if you’ve ever had a conversation with her but she worries about everything. Especially me, I was hand picked and her precious child.”Word Count:449 Tag:Alfred/Mandee Notes: None Lyrics: Take on me- A-HA

----------------------------------"Hey, I apologized and felt bad for it! I mean, it's not exactly a good first impression when you send the general of the Continental Army flying into a wall."
It made for a good story though, that much was clear. Alfred shrugged. "Sometimes slip-ups happen." He was usually pretty good about controlling his strength, but no one could claim that he was perfect, even now. He'd made definite strides since his early days when it came to controlling his strength, however. He laughed at Warren's next statement. "Would you want to attack a kid who just picked you up and tossed you through the air?" He paused to grin. "I picked it up and carried it back out of the house. You could tell Eng...Arthur wanted him out of there, but there wasn't much he could do about it. Unless he wanted to wave his magic wand and try to magic the thing out of there...wouldn't have surprised me if he did. Artie's always been big on magic." Alfred rolled his eyes, but had an amused expression on his face. He'd also very nearly slipped up and called Arthur England. While it probably didn't matter that he'd informed Warren of such, he figured he'd stick with mostly human names around Warren. That was what he usually did with his bosses, at least until the president finally got used to the idea. "He made me fix up the hole in the wall that I threw the buffalo through." Nothing too huge, but there was still the slightest hint of annoyance in Alfred's tone, much like he was still the child that was sentenced to that punishment centuries before. Alfred was confident he'd be able to pick up flying again with ease. He knew a few things had changed, but he'd kept up on the technology over the years. Learning it again would be easy as apple pie! Alfred mimed zipping up his lips. "Top secret. You got it. Not like that's new for either of us." Alfred couldn't help but wink. Well, it was true. Alfred was one of his government's best kept secrets, but then, so was Warren. The idea of making the excursion into a top secret mission made it all that much more appealing to Alfred. So needless to say I'm odds and ends But that's me stumbling awaySlowly learning that life is OK. Say after me It's no better to be safe than sorry “True, but still they can’t really blame you. As you said earlier you were starting a different stage in your life. I know that my powers were super awkward going through phases. I couldn’t even go to gym! I would just take off if I even though about running. So I understand about slip ups.”
Warren had many life experiences with slip-ups. As he was sure Alfred had more than just that memory of making a mistake. When you’re growing up you have to make mistake to learn what not to do. But it’s a more easy going environment when you are around of bunch of people who have powers. They look at you less awkwardly unless you set a building on fire. Then again of course some kids think that’s cool. Warren’s powers were less dangerous. He couldn’t help but be happy for that. Running you really couldn’t kill anyone or hurt them on accident. Not to mention he loved to go fast and with his power it would get him there in the nick of time if he was a bit late.
“No really, but at the same time I wouldn’t let that kid carry my out either. I would have tried to get out as fast as I could. Then again I’m sure it was disoriented being thrown through a wall. So what kind of powers does Arthur have? Or has he never really shown you? He’s big on magic? Does it even work when he tries to voodoo people?”
Warren heard Eng, before Alfred fixed up the name to be Arthur. He wondered if he was a nation too. He smiled a bit because Alfred didn’t want to give him to much information. He wanted to thank him for that at some point. He was just glad Alfred knew he could start what he was with Warren. It wasn’t that bad getting used to Alfred being America. He figured he’s never fully get used to it, but at least be able to say nation with out it being a mouth full. Or him feeling weird using that term, he doubted he would have to use it a lot. Unless he was around the presence of only nations, although he could see that being very doubtful.
“I would have made you fix it up too! So is Arthur England? I just want to make sure I’m seeing the big picture. I do appreciate you only using names though it makes it less confusing on my jumbled brain. It going through the phase of is this real or not real?”
It was true top secret was nothing new. It was just a day to day regular life kind of thing. He wondered if this is how his secret would feel to others. Not to the extent of him being able to live forever and a country. But he was a scientific experiment; he was most certainly not regular.
“I love top secret expeditions! Plus there will be a whole lot of top secrets going around once we board the plane."Word Count:513 Tag:Alfred/Mandee Notes: None Lyrics: Take on me- A-HA

A PIZZA HUT A PIZZA HUT KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN AND A PIZZA HUT MCDONALDS MCDONALDS
----------------------------------Alfred grinned, glad that Warren accepted his explanation with little to no argument. There were still slip-ups, as evidenced only a few moments prior, but they were not as commonplace as they were when he first took on the physical appearance of a teenager. The later half of the 1700s was essentially Alfred's puberty, and it showed in many ways.
"Yeah, I think he was so surprised about what happened that he didn't even have time to react to me picking him up again."
Alfred shook his head, leaning backward with his hands behind his head and looking skyward. Alfred shrugged when Warren asked him what Arthur's powers were. "Never actually asked him, to be honest. Maybe it's all those faeries and mythical creatures he talks about all the time. Maybe they do exist and his power's seeing them. I still like to think he's crazy though. It's more fun teasing him that way." Again, that mischievous grin came across Alfred's face. The next question made Alfred pause just a few seconds. Even he realized that talking about a bunch of other nations willy-nilly without asking them first wouldn't be a good idea. Most wouldn't even approve of the fact that Warren knew about Alfred, but they also didn't realize that Warren was a well-kept secret of his own. Still, it wasn't like Artie was there, that he knew of? So in the end, he saw no harm in answering Warren's question. "Sure is. What gave it away, the accent? Gotta say, the old man did a pretty good job with the Olympics this year. Not as good as when I have them, but still pretty good for his old age." Oh, if only Arthur was present to hear the teasing. That was the only thing that would make it even more fun! "No problemo. I figured using names'd be easier on you. You aren't the first person I've told. I've had plenty of practice in the past, with every boss I've had." And a few others as well, but mainly his bosses. Still, just taking "bosses" into consideration, that was forty-four times that Alfred had to do the big reveal to a human. He had practice. "There sure will! But hey, we can handle it. We have before, right?" Alfred reached out to give Warren another clap on his shoulder, stopping just short as he realized that he was putting a bit too much power behind it. Now holding back considerably, so as not to send Warren flying toward a tree again, Alfred continued with the clap. So needless to say I'm odds and ends But that's me stumbling awaySlowly learning that life is OK. Say after me It's no better to be safe than sorry “That’s probably a good thing. I’m sure if you let the buffalo sit there too long he would have gotten scared and ran through the whole house trashing the place. That wouldn’t have been too fun. Not to mention you probably would have gotten in to a lot more trouble.”
Warren could only imagine the buffalo going shit bat crazy through the house. Alfred face probably would have been priceless jaw flinging to the ground. Chuckling at the thought he knew Alfred probably guessed he was imagining it. Warren couldn’t help it; the opportunity was too good to pass up. Letting the thought slip away he refocused on Alfred.
“He claims he can see faeries and mythical creatures? That sounds like he’s kind of crazy. Not to be rude but I’d kind of be worried to be around him. If they are real you better hope they don’t one day come attack you from throwing a buffalo in to the side of his house. He might be out to get you Alfred when you least expect it!”
Laughing he was joking about Arthur trying to come find Alfred. For one he didn’t even know the guy so how could he know anything about him. It just seemed like a funny thing to tease Alfred about. Smiling he looked around on the grounds. He noticed people were still talking with friends or reading books and doing homework. He was strange to think all these normal looking adults had powers of some sort. His life was almost a dream, he once wondered if his parents were really part of this life. Or if he was really stuck in some sort of tube living his life in a fake dream. His parents wouldn’t lie to him. Or so he hoped that was the case.
“Yeah just a little. They are pretty awesome, can’t really lie about that. I’ve only seen a couple of events this year. Every one is doing great! Oh of course Alfred America is the best.”
Grinning he shrugged, Warren didn’t watch a lot of the Olympics. He got bored easily with it so he would flip back and forth between channels. Most of the time when it was on anyway he wasn’t allowed to watch TV for long. His favorite sport had to be running though, but he could have easily taken all the athletes down in a flash. Still it was amazing to see them all running at high speed and being regular humans. He always thought he was a runner even with out his power. Maybe that why his power manifested in the way it did. He once tried to ask his mother about it but all her fancy jargon just confused him.
“Yeah it does. It’s still interesting to know who is who though. But maybe we can wait for that till later. Still trying to process everything. I think I’m doing a good job though. That’s right we have! Top secret has nothing on us."Word Count:765 Tag:Alfred/Mandee Notes: None Lyrics: Take on me- A-HA

A PIZZA HUT A PIZZA HUT KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN AND A PIZZA HUT MCDONALDS MCDONALDS
----------------------------------Alfred was indeed picturing it, with somewhat of an amused expression on his face. It was easy to look back on it now and laugh, but it had been frustrating at the time to even hear the disappointment evident in Arthur's voice just for throwing the buffalo through the wall. As a small child/colony, Arthur's opinion meant everything to Alfred, just as it would with a normal child. As he grew older, things changed, but at a young age, he very much wanted to please Arthur, who he saw as his guardian. The problems didn't come until later, when Alfred saw fit to pave his own way and Arthur didn't accept it at first.
"It does, doesn't it?"
Alfred had a serious expression on his face, though if one looked closely enough they'd notice the corners of his mouth twitching. He waved his hand dismissively at the second part of the statement. "I doubt they'd still be pissy over that. That was like three centuries ago. If they got me back for anything it would be the time when I put itching powder in Artie's shampoo a few years ago." It was hard to tell whether Alfred was kidding with this statement or not. "I've been keeping up. Not as well as I'd like to, but I've been keeping up. You know, this is the first time in years I haven't actually gone to the ceremonies myself. Usually all of us have a little get together at the Olympics, but this year was different. Those of us here at New World got together and watched the opening ceremony though." He couldn't think of watching an Olympic opening ceremony without at least one other nation nearby. Though again, usually he was there. He just had other duties this time. At the last part of Warren's statement, Alfred beamed. "Damn right I...we are!" Alfred shrugged. He actually wasn't planning on revealing who everyone else was, though he figured he might tell Warren about a couple of the other nations. He'd try to stay away from revealing the ones at New World without at least asking them first. Technically, Warren shouldn't even know, but this was a case that Alfred was willing to make an exception on. He knew Warren would have his questions, and he felt he owed Warren those answers. "All this top secret-ness and we're starting to sound like secret agents. I should pick up some spy gear for us! I'd drop by the CIA and pick some up, but I'm still kinda peeved at them for how they treated me the last time I dropped by. Course, they didn't know what level clearance I had at first, but that was no excuse to push me into a wall and hold a gun to my head. They almost smashed Texas!" Alfred let out a somewhat exaggerated sigh, forgetting that Warren didn't know what Texas was yet.
