There's someone in my head but it's not me.
And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon
And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon
Leela woke up on a wonderful Saturday morning; everything was quiet in her mind so she figured everyone was out doing something. She glanced at her window to see the light shinning through. Wondering what she should do today since all her homework was finished and no tests till the beginning of the week after. Jumping up she wanted to do something she had been trapped in her dorm room long enough. Her roommate Kat was gone and probably off doing something with Logan. Rolling her eyes for a second before she stopped. It wasn’t her fault she actually had something to do today. She stood in the middle of her room before glancing down at her bathing suit. It was a perfect idea; she was going to go swimming. Leela missed how she used to go every weekend with her brother in there pool in the back yard. So she grabbed the teal two-piece and headed in to the bathroom.
Looking at herself in the mirror she brushed her long red hair even though it was just going to get tangled. She figured she could at least look presentable going down to the pool. Her checked her self out, the teal bathing suit looked well so she walked out grabbing a pair of jeans shorts she put them on. Not really worrying about a T-shirt she just flung a towel around her self. She began making the journey finally hearing some people thoughts about how it was such a wonderful day and why they weren’t outside. She chuckled wondering the same thing, how could they be inside on such a beautiful day? Reaching outside she let the sun hit her skin; thank goodness she put on some tanning sun block maybe now she’d finally look more olive than white. As she reached the pool no one was currently there. She slightly frowned hoping someone would be there. Flinging her towel off on one of the chairs as well as he jean shorts she walked around to the deep end. The water was moving a bit the nice breeze helping it along and with out further a do she dove in.
The water felt welcoming to the girl like she belonged there all along. Water droplets danced in her hair as she came up from air. Floating on her back she closed her eyes listening to the soft hum of the filters. She then dipped her head back doing a flip coming up once again. She wished that her power was being able to breath underwater she would have loved to stay down near the bottom for hours. But it wasn’t and wishing it were the truth didn’t help her at all. So instead she went to the bottom closest to the shallow end and let her self sink as far as her body would let her. Opening her eyes she looked around and saw the sunlight reflecting off the water all around her. Coming back up she cleared the water from her eyes and peaked around. Still no one was around, it looked thus far like it was going to be a solo type of day.
She pulled herself out and walked over to the table. Since she was the only one here she brought her phone over to the edge and let music play aloud. No one was going to be around then she had to make some sort of noise maybe to attract people or just to have something in the background. Getting back in to the pool she hummed to the song doing a couple laps. Her red hair made her almost look like a mermaid and the teal didn’t help with that illusion in her mind. Smiling she wondered what it would be like to grow fins. It was probably a more complex situation to tell someone then just oh I can read your mind. Behind half fish half human did have it’s set backs like everything else. Then humans would really flinch away from her at first site then after they figured out she could read their minds. Pushing the thought away she went back to swimming underwater her thoughts flowing freely.
