I'm walkin' on sunshine, woh-oh And don't it feel good? JAIR CECLIA DARLING ==================================== Jair had started at New World Academy just this year and already she had made herself comfortable. Her family had mostly remained at home, though given the way her brothers acted she wouldn’t be surprised if any of them turned up anytime soon. Jair had received an admission welcome a few years ago, but had taken some specialty courses at the University of Ottawa before finding her way to New World. Naturally, those were history courses, and Jair had achieved ridiculous marks.
Now that she was at New World, and away from her family, she was finding living on her own quite refreshing in ways. She had picked up how to cook various meals by assisting her mother a few times and had found that the skills were usable once she got here. Her parents had always known that Jair was unique. She ability to memorize just about anything and her parents had explained it as her being a prodigy until a real explanation presented itself. They realized she must be one of the people directly affected by the experimentation so long ago, meaning technically so were they, or at least one of them. And Jair wasn’t the only one of her siblings to show something exceptional either.
The very girl they had thought to be a miracle child, was now amongst other ‘miracle children’. Jair had been offered a place at this school because of that, not that her parents knew. In fact they didn’t know that other ‘miracle children’ were at this school. Jair had been offered a position and she claimed that she had applied. So here she was, and she felt more like she belonged here than she had anywhere else.
Jair’s eyes roamed left and then right across the grounds as she moved onto the steps. She had left her dorm a few hours ago for a jog and had now run many laps. She sat down for a moment, taking a drink from her water bottle, left tucked next to the steps and in a small bush. It was easier than carrying the damn thing. After a short moment she got up, collected the bowl that was with it and moved to the grass, sitting down comfortably against a tree and just enjoying the fresh air.
There was no fuss here, and there was no parents constantly trying to show her off to others. Jair loved it here. She sighed her enjoyment and closed her eyes, and enjoying the feel of the light breeze on her skin. It was a beautiful day...but the dog whose leash was tied to her hand nuzzled her and started licking her nose with his horrid breath, really just wanting some of her water. Koda...the real reason for Jair’s run today. Her dog needed some time outside too, and more than once a day. Jair took Koda everywhere with her when she had the option. Koda was her best friend and a pretty intelligent dog, when he wasn’t being stupid. She quickly flipped the bowl upright and dumped half the water bottle in, which Koda quickly started lapping up, his tail flying back and forth so fast, his whole butt was wagging.
Jair let out a laugh at the sight and eased back again, the dog now content to let her enjoy the beautiful sun and weather. The clear sky today was a gift, and Jair intended to make good use of it...enjoying it for what it was. Perhaps if she had time later she’d head out and practice some of her Katas in the fields. It wasn’t exactly easy to practice her martial arts in the small confines of the dorms. She needed space for it and it’d be a waste to practice inside today when the sun was so happy to see her...

Damien was spending most of his day bored for some reason. There seemed to be no parties to go to, and thus no party invites to keep him entertained. His roommate wasn’t around either, so he had nobody to bother or hang out with. Well, he could probably text someone, but nobody on his infinite phone list looked interesting at the moment. He had been at the school for a few years now, and enjoyed flirting about and meeting basically everyone in the school he could find. Whether they wanted to deal with him was another story though. He could be considered a little too social at times, and not everyone, apparently, enjoyed the playful flirting he perpetually did. Many people were either fine with it or brushed it off. Some flirted back, but others did not react well to it, and were very unhappy to be flirted with. Luckily, his roommate was not one of those people. He seemed to just brush it off and so all was good there. Having a roommate that didn’t like you was always a miserable experience, and so he had gotten lucky in the fact that he had gotten a decent enough one that was willing to go to parties with him and be a beer pong partner at said parties.
Anyway though, he decided he had enough lying about like a lump in his room and figured a walk around campus would be nice. A quick look outside told him that it was quite a nice day, and so he decided to go with a t-shirt and jeans before leaving his room and wandering his way down and out of the dorm building. Well, now he was outside, and it was quite a nice day, but what now? He did suppose that he said he was going to wander around campus a bit while it was nice. So he probably should, and the exercise wouldn’t kill him that was for sure. With as much as he drank he should definitely exercise to keep in shape. So he started walking around watching a few people jogging or coming and going from the school. He gave a slight yawn and cracked his shoulders before noticing a girl against a tree with her dog. Honestly he sometimes forgot about the fact that many people had pets at the school and kept them in their dorms.
Damien liked socializing with animals almost as much as he liked socializing with people. Thus the fluffy dog and girl had caught his attention and he wandered over there to say hello and maybe meet someone new. Seeing as he didn’t know the girl yet he figured meeting new people would be a fun way to alleviate his boredom. ”Cute dog, what’s it’s name?” he asked happily towards the girl in front of him. ”I’m Damien, I don’t think I’ve seen you around the school before.” he noted simply. He was certainly social enough to know much of the school, so he was guessing she had either transferred here recently or was a freshman just starting out. He, admittedly, didn’t know very many of the freshman right now, and he wanted to fix that. The blonde boy just needed a place to start on that matter. There was also the fact that he was really bored and wanted to socialize with someone, and she was the first person that he felt like approaching.

I'm walkin' on sunshine, woh-oh And don't it feel good? JAIR CECLIA DARLING ==================================== Jair’s glanced up as the voice assaulted her ears and she felt a smile spread across her face. He was nice looking…She almost stumbled over the question forgetting it was asked. Jair hadn’t been at the school long and as a result she was still trying to get used to the change in scenery and people. It was a good adjustment and she was loving it, but part of it also included the new people. People were unaware of Jair’s money and what had once intimidated her peers was not just a blip barely on the radar. She ruffled the fur on Koda’s head as the dog noticed Damien. Within moments, her hand was dropping to her side and Koda was doing the ‘small-dog-wants-to-be-tough” bark.
”His name is Koda…”
She offered and then quickly went to getting the dog to back down. ”Koda! Down! He’s safe!!” The dog’s barks changed and now he was leaping at Damien with excitement his tail wagging. ”Sorry he’s still pretty young…” She said, looking very apologetic. ”Koda! Down!!...I said DOWN!” The dog stopped it’s leaping but continued to linger at his feet. She turned her attention back to Damien. ”Nice to meet you Damien. My name is Jair…I’m a freshman so I am not surprised.” she offered, making the leap that he isn’t a freshman himself. ”It’s a pleasure to meet you I am sure…” She added on, not 100% certain what else to say to him. Jair was sort of curious as to who the boy was, or even what he was studying, but she held herself back from asking for the time being…. ”Do you make a habit of introducing yourself to strangers? she asked, sounding almost amused. ”I don’t generally have people approach me out of the blue…Oh! Was it because of Koda?” Sounds like she is thinking out loud at this point and quickly puts a clamp on it and stops running her mouth.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Damien Lucifer •• •• Words • 324 •• •• Outfit • Cargo shorts, a T-Shirt saying “Use the Triforce” with the triforce symbol from Zelda on it, a pair of yellow converse with green laces and a green bandanna with the triforce on it holding down her hair to the top of her head. •• •• Lyrics • "Walking on Sunshine" By Katrina and the Waves •• •• Dog • CLICK HERE ••

When the girl looked up he smiled at her. Damien really was a friendly person and he supposed not everyone was used to that. He wasn’t sure whether he startled her or not, but her dog he seemed to do so to. Being that he was now being barked at and he just looked at the dog. The senior would rather not get bitten after all, and he was glad when she told the dog to knock it off. After all, it wasn’t as if he was threatening the girl or anything. ”Koda? Cute.” he said simply with a grin as he was leaped on by the dog and he did his best to pet at the dog while he jumped. She was telling him to get down, and Damien found himself laughing rather amused. ”It’s fine. Not the first time I’ve been jumped on by a dog.” he stated with a grin before kneeling down and scratching the dog behind the ears.
Then she introduced herself and he turned his attention from the dog back towards her. So her name was Jair? That was a unique one certainly being that he hadn’t heard it before. Considering the number of people he had met or slept with, that was saying something. The girl also stated that she was a freshman, and that certainly explained why he hadn’t seen her before now. That meant he needed to either go to more freshman oriented parties, or just wander around campus more. Either way he was bound to meet them eventually if he did this. Besides, this way he found far more people to chill with when he got bored or something. It was pretty often that he got bored too so people to contact was a good thing. It also helped to have connections with quite a few people if you were in the hospitality field. Which, it just so happened, he was in that field and lots of people meant the possibility of lots of business.
Her question made him grin slightly. There were certainly several reasons he decided to pick her. One of which being that she was the most interesting, and certainly Koda had a little something to do with it. ”Believe it or not, yes I do make a habit of introducing myself to strangers. Though there were a few deciding factors on who I decide to talk to. Koda took my interest, but you did as well.” he said with a vague flirty tone to it. Damien was a flirt at heart and so it was hard for him to not do so. Thus he usually didn’t bother unless the other person decided he was being obnoxious. It did happen occasionally though and so he would have to tone it down a bit. Whether he would have to do so or not was yet to be seen. ”What are you studying?” he asked curiously to make common conversation.

I'm walkin' on sunshine, woh-oh And don't it feel good? JAIR CECLIA DARLING ==================================== Jair was already finding Damien agreeable. She liked people who were social and friendly but people like that always had a catch. She knew that everyone had their baggage and was beyond the illusion that everyone was kind, friendly and cheerful all the time. She tried to keep her skepticism in check for the time being. Jair had many friends and friends had always been easy for her to find. She was loyal to those she did call friends and of course Jair calling them friends and them being in the ‘friends’ category were different. Jair needed certain types of people and didn’t care to associate with other types. She had many ‘friends’ and fewer actual friends. Right now she was considering adding another but first she needed to know much more about him.
She smiled in amusement when she called her dog’s name cute. ”Thank you”
she said graciously. Jair had named Koda after the bear cub in brother bear…go figure. She wasn’t about to start advertising that to people who were unaware of the connection. She was pleased to see Koda was handling the interaction well. After the initial approach of course, in which Koda’s reaction was universal. Koda served as a good judge of character, much like most animals. Jair was amused by the grin Damien had on his face but also the grin that sprung up on her dog as his ears were scratched. Okay, so Koda was not blind to bribery either. Anyone scratching the dog’s ears was going to get a good vibe from Koda. Then again, nasty people rarely showed an interest in a dog. So maybe Damien was legit. He looked good, had a good first impression, passed the dog test…he was either a charming player or he wanted something…that had to be it. Jair scolded her internal dialogue for jumping to conclusions before she had the big picture. Jair listened to his answer, approving of it but also hearing her internal voice saying ‘too good to be true. Too good to be true’ over and over in her mind. Nice people didn’t just happen across you while you were out running with your dog! Then again, Jair had met many nice people and in stranger places. She had to stop being so critical. Jair’s mind began to wonder if maybe he was a nation as well, but pushed the thought aside. She’d check the records again later as the name didn’t ring a bell. And if you were Jair, that meant she had literally never heard it before. The girl could remember what she had for dinner thirteen years ago on this day and could tell you what day of the week it was. Jair failed to pick up on the flirty tone where she had recognized charm as personality trait. This was also not unusual. ”Oh? And what attracted your attention? My dog isn’t exactly common so I could understand that. But I appear quite normal.” She said, her tone completely curious and far from suggesting anything or even showing any sign of picking up where he was coming from. Jair was fairly normal looking, if not for her more expensive wardrobe but few people knew clothes well enough to understand that as a clue to what made Jair different from the next girl. Jair was surprised he was even interested in what she was studying. But she assumed it was a basic question to ask. ”I am here for History. I am taking a mix of European, American and Canadian Histories. I also have several courses in Ancient History I’ve taken to as well.” Jair offered. Her grades were also sky high. Reading the text book could teach her the course. Sitting in the lecture listening was better than her taking notes. So studying wasn’t exactly the right word for it, but Jair didn’t say as much. ”What about you? What are you here for?” Jair asked, returning the question. She was also a bit interested to know what his gift was. One didn’t come to New World without a gift. She decided it was rude to ask right away.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Damien Lucifer •• •• Words • 691 •• •• Outfit • Cargo shorts, a T-Shirt saying “Use the Triforce” with the triforce symbol from Zelda on it, a pair of yellow converse with green laces and a green bandanna with the triforce on it holding down her hair to the top of her head. •• •• Lyrics • "Walking on Sunshine" By Katrina and the Waves •• •• Dog • CLICK HERE ••

Damien had a ridiculous list of friends, but many of them didn’t know all that much about him. Just went to parties with him or would sleep with him no strings attached. Well, nobody had asked for anything that was a sort of relationship. They just wanted to sleep with him and then move to the next party. Most of them probably wouldn’t come if he asked for help, but he did have a few that would. He considered his roommate in the list of people that actually knew something about him other than his name, age, major and a few habits. After all, he lived with the guy and thus they saw more of one another than anyone else. He’d also probably consider his brother if that wasn’t considered cheating. Most other people he’d met them a few times, but hadn’t really gotten to know them well. Whether he would or not was just something up in the air. He didn’t mind it though because with as social as he was he could always find more people to talk to. That being said, if one of those two requested something he was far more likely to agree to it. Even if it was slightly ridiculous, this was probably how he and his brother always got into trouble. The two of them together was just asking for some nonsense to happen, but it was all in good fun. Nobody got seriously hurt, and so it wasn’t a big deal. He was pretty sure half the bar fights he was in were because of his brother doing something and then him having to clean up the mess or deal with it after.
”You’re welcome.” he said with a smile before taking a seat on the grass and continuing to pet the dog during their conversation. He figured now that they were over the initial awkwardness of first meeting someone, they could actually have a conversation now. Besides, this way it was easier for him to pet the dog being that he wasn’t exactly on the short side and had to lean over anyway. Also maybe the dog would lie down or something and become less excited over time. Usually once an animal got used to you they were less likely to jump all over you. They just had to get the initial jumping out of the way that came with someone new appearing. Damien idly wondered what Logan would think of getting a pet for their dorm. Maybe they could go pick one out sometime. Anyway though it seemed Jair had missed the flirting and was asking what attracted his attention. Hum, well now he had to explain his selection process. ”You’re prettier than you give yourself credit for.” he noted idly. ”Also clearly you like video games, you don’t have your face stuck in a phone on such a nice day, you aren’t currently standing around in a group of people deep in conversation, and you seemed like the most interesting to talk to.” he said with another smile at her.
He listened to her explain that she was here for several different types of histories and wondered if that meant she was going to be here more than four years, or if she had some sort of photographic memory to be able to take all the classes at once. ”I’m going out on a limb and guessing you really like history.” he joked simply. Then she asked what he was here for in return. Well, he was expecting the question after all, being that if you ask someone what their major is they will likely ask about yours as well. ”Hospitality. I want to open my own bar and club.” he said with a smile. Sure that might make him a little nocturnal when it came to it, but he was perfectly alright with that prospect.

I'm walkin' on sunshine, woh-oh And don't it feel good? JAIR CECLIA DARLING ==================================== Jair had a close knit circle of friends she knew she could rely on her. Kat and Erika were her best friends, having been in on discovering the Nation secret and also having been the ones who she started to stick to early. Erika was especially so, Kat was more recent. Jair had decided they were both good people and well worth her time. And for once in her life it wasn’t about the popularity contest. In high school Jair had been the popular girl with all the fake friends, despite the fact that she lacked the personality to go with it. She was gossiped about and people wanted to be her friend. Of course, that was what obvious money meant in a high school setting. High school was all about the drama. It was nice for a change to have friends that were real and not just drawn the prospect of money.
Jair also grew up with four older brothers. So naturally there was a whole other side to her than the girly air that people often saw. Jair’s four brothers had sheltered and protected her sure, but who was there to protect her from them. She had done a damn good job warding them off as a child and it had led her to more physical activities. Jair had gotten good at outwitting them but sometimes a little power was what you needed. She even shared interests with each of them. She’d taken her marital arts classes with Elias and Isaac for the longest time, till they got frustrated that she was better at it. She had played on a co-ed hockey team with Zach. Beau was her trivial pursuit buddy. Jair’s siblings were close and for a change it was nice to be free of their shadows and free of concern for their feelings when she did best them at something. Though the boys had long come to accept that Jair never made the same mistake twice and that once she got something right, it’d never be wrong for her again.
Jair snapped out of her thoughts. Koda was finally calming down and had decide to wander back to the dish of water. Of course, he made sure to stay within reach of Damien. Jair listened to his reasoning, scratching Koda’s ears while she did so. She was quite pleased when he called her pretty and also almost impressed he recognized her as a gamer. That was of course before she re-analyzed and recalled that she was wearing Zelda merchandise, a dead give away. That was certainly a give away. ”Well thank you. And yes, I am a gamer. Texting has a time and place and conversation has been proven to be more productive in smaller numbers.”
she retorted in order of the comments he made. In general conversation it was often strange the way Jair answered, but at least this time the list was short and it didn’t appear unusual. ”So it is safe to assume you are into video games. But you also enjoy face to face socializing. Which means you probably go out a lot, right?” she inquired. ”And what do you do to work out? You are quite toned.” It was said as an innocent and completely oblivious question, far from being flirtatious of course. Jair nodded her head with a smile. ”Its intriguing. Everything is rooted in history. Everything had to start somewhere and can generally be explained by its evolution over time. I am largely interested in how the mind and mentality changed over various decades and in seeing the cultural differences between now and previous times that are often forgotten. If we were to be placed in say the 1600s we’d totally stand out…Sorry….Didn’t mean to ramble.” She looked anything but sorry. Jair loved history!! And it made complete use of her brain and her gift. It was one thing her gift allowed her to do better than anyone. Research had become an exercise for her mind as much as it was an entertainment to her. ”A bar is much better than a club. Why do you want to do that? To be the therapist bar tender, the bad ass bar tender or just to live a life of parties?” she asked. She was sure he had reasons and she may not have even hit on them. ”You should try taking entrepreneurship courses as well. They’d help you quite a bit. Oh, and I strongly suggest accounting classes too. People often forget that dreams cost money.” She smiled right back at him, hoping he had already considered that herself and she wasn’t coming across as too pretentious.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Damien Lucifer •• •• Words • 774 •• •• Outfit • Cargo shorts, a T-Shirt saying “Use the Triforce” with the triforce symbol from Zelda on it, a pair of yellow converse with green laces and a green bandanna with the triforce on it holding down her hair to the top of her head. •• •• Lyrics • "Walking on Sunshine" By Katrina and the Waves •• •• Dog • CLICK HERE ••

Damien continued to pet Koda as he seemed to calm down, but stay within reach. It was just a matter of the dog getting used to you being around, and then you were much less likely to get jumped on. It also helped if they were trained well to stay down when told to also. Some dogs were badly trained because of their owners not caring to teach them correctly, but Koda seemed to listen quite well. This was good because dogs really could be obnoxious if they were perpetually jumping on you. Anyway, though back to the conversation at hand. He wondered if they would become actual friends or just remain as that random person he walked up to while bored once. Well, alright not quite random person, more her name was Jair, but the point was there. Many people he met didn’t end up as anything more than just a contact in his phone. Rarely did someone make it onto his speed dial, or even got called for more than a simple party invite. Though, he had to say that it was far easier to have parties in a house rather than a dorm. Or they could rent somewhere for the evening and hopefully nothing got too damaged. Thus he usually stuck to going to parties rather than hosting them. He would if he had his own place, but he was more concerned with student loans than house loans. He’d worry about those once he graduated.
She was answering his questions in order and smiled as she thanked him for calling her pretty. It was true, and while he probably could have lied while saying it, he didn’t though. Though it would be interesting if they played video games together at some point maybe. That depended on what type of games she played though. She seemed to have his stance on texting, and conversation really was easier if you picked out smaller groups of people. ”Most also find it awkward to just walk up to a group of people and interrupt conversation.” he said with a slight smile. He didn’t entirely find it awkward, but it was easiest for everyone if he just walked up to one person instead of multiple. That being said, there wasn’t exactly much that made him feel awkward, and so maybe he was just immune to it or something. Then she asked if he went out a lot, and what he did to work out. ”I do go out a lot. I’m probably at four parties weekly, and I do a multitude of things. I do try to at least go jogging before class, and if I can’t sleep I’ll work out. I’m borderline nocturnal half the time.” he said with a smile.
Then she started talking about history, and it was interesting at how excited she was about it. Though, she seemed to apologize for rambling a bit. ”Never be sorry for something you love, if you have to be sorry for it why bother?” he stated simply. Besides, she didn’t really look sorry about it, so why say it if you didn’t mean it? Then she stated that a bar was better than a club and he shrugged slightly. ”It’s hard to dance in a bar sometimes though. Hum, maybe all of the above?” he said with a smile. He spent quite a bit of time at bars as it was, so why not own one and be there as a career. Sure, some people were jerks and you had to deal with those along with the nice people, but he could always kick them out. Then she suggested a bunch of courses that would help and he shrugged. ”I’ve taken a bunch of those classes already, and am in accounting currently. My roommate is a business major, and I figured some of his classes would help on top of the ones I have to take.” he said with a slight shrug. He was well aware of the fact that it would take money to buy the bar to begin with let alone the alcohol and the licenses and the food along with decorations.

I'm walkin' on sunshine, woh-oh And don't it feel good? JAIR CECLIA DARLING ==================================== Koda was still young so it was no surprise that he got excited at new people and especially at new sounds and voices. The dog went crazy when people passed by Jairs house back in Ottawa. It was no surprise he also could get rowdy when people walked past the dorm. So new people approaching and once he realized they were clear it was like a free for all. He wanted to milk the attention for all it was worth.
Jair had been raised in a house with lots of older brothers and lots of dogs. Each of them were dog people and they had worked as a team to care for the dogs. She had partaken in the training of several of them before Koda so naturally he was decently behaved given his young age. The dog was energetic sure, but at least he was behaving the way a dog should. He understood basic commands and even performed tricks when he knew treats we on the line. He could sit, roll over, go down, up, play dead and fetch. Not to mention any number of more specific tasks.
”People do tend to have a clique mentality.”
Jair offered up in understanding. ”Though some fun things can come from approaching a group. It’s just incredibly awkward and you can enter into the strangest of conversations...” she said with a laugh. For someone like Jair who remembered everything word for word, those moments of awkward conversation snooping could become a royal pain. She remembered everyone’s petty gossip and sometimes it could get to the point of obnoxiousness. Jair noted a point for her observations skills when he admitted to going out a lot. The idea of a party animal wasn’t unappealing but it wasn’t exactly delightful either. Jair wasn’t big on drinking and partying. Then again, Alcohol or others drugs that effected her mind often caused lapses in her gift. Nothing was more frustrating than forgetting completely anything you did under the influence of...well...any drug that effected your perceptions too thoroughly. Especially when your mind and body acted as a hyper drive record , almost like a database, of every waking moment, every dream and ever possible scenario and series of scenarios. ”Jogging? I guess that does work all the muscles in the body, but some are getting barely any work. Works nice for the abdominal and oblique muscles, the hips, hamstrings, lower leg muscles and the areas in the shoulders. It’s also great for stamina. How long do you jog? And do you do it for the sake of toning, the chemical balance exercise offers or to wake up in the morning?” she asked, pulling the knowledge from instruction given by her martial arts instructor from some time ago. They used jogging as a warm up. ”Also, out of curiosity, do you stretch before or after you jog? Or not at all?” She was analysing him. No one was there to stop her and she was curious of some of his habits. Jair was a tad touchy with her potential friends and she was actually trying to decide whether he was seriously aware of the exercising he was doing, or if was just to blow off steam. Jair’s smile grew when he told her to not be sorry for something you love. ”History is definitely on my list of loves. I know it can bore a lot of people so I try to remember not to ramble on and on about it.” She said with a grin. Especially since she could recall and the whole span of the histories she was learning. Her gift had its awesome qualities. She wouldn’t trade it for any other gift, even if hers was passive and almost invisible. To some that would seem a value in and of itself. For Jair, it was sometimes disappointing that she couldn’t dazzle someone with some physical display of awesomeness. But not a soul had ever beaten her at trivia... ”Okay. Random question...How do you feel about trivial pursuit?” Hey, couldn’t blame her for taking a chance to impress and flaunt her skills? She stopped and considered what he had said. Okay, so dancing in a bar could be hard sometimes. ”Partying doesn’t always mean dancing. Technically the term party refers to a gathering of people who have been invited by a host for the purposes of socializing, conversation, or recreation.” she said, realizing that she was totally sounding like a total nerd. ”Accounting? Is it interesting, drab or boring. Is the class informative? What about difficulty? Is it hard to keep tabs on?” Jair was always sourcing other classes to take. The girl took far more than she should be able to. But she had no need to study. Her knowledge was so extensive and her mind so acute she could write an essay in her head and regurgitate it onto paper in no time flat. She could do homework literally in her sleep. It made her quite the knowledge whore. She wanted to learn anything and everything...after all, you never knew what could come in handy. ”Really?! Business?! I bet some of the things they learn are fascinating and some of them are drab as hell...” she said with a shrug. ”I guess most classes are like that...” she added as an afterthought.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Damien Lucifer •• •• Words • 887 •• •• Outfit • Cargo shorts, a T-Shirt saying “Use the Triforce” with the triforce symbol from Zelda on it, a pair of yellow converse with green laces and a green bandanna with the triforce on it holding down her hair to the top of her head. •• •• Lyrics • "Walking on Sunshine" By Katrina and the Waves •• •• Dog • CLICK HERE ••

Her statement of people having a clique mentality made him sigh slightly. ”It’s also a rather boring mentality at times I find.” he replied, but then she said there could be strange conversations, and he figured that was true enough at times. Though, she also had the point where it was possibly incredibly awkward as well. ”Yeah, it could be awkward at times I suppose, but it probably depends on the person.” he noted with a light shrug. He didn’t find it awkward, but usually everyone else did and so he tended to not go after groups of people. It wasn’t that he didn’t like groups of people, it was more that the usually didn’t want to talk to him because they were in the middle of talking and he was interrupting. Ah well, it happened he supposed, and it probably didn’t matter too much either. He wondered idly how long they would sit out here talking like this actually. It wasn’t as if he had anything to do until the sun went down, and he wondered if she was the same. If that was the case then they could both end up talking all day possibly. That would certainly be a long conversation, though at some point one of them would probably need to get up and get food or something.
Then she was asking more questions about his jogging and he pondered it for a moment. How long did he jog? Well, most of her questions depended on what he had time for in the morning, or what he had been doing the night before. ”I try to jog for at least an hour, but sometimes I don’t get up quite early enough for that. I guess, I do it for all those reasons. If I don’t wake up I’m likely to fall asleep in some of my classes. A few that I have first are dreadfully boring. I mean, I don’t mind the classes, but listening to the teacher’s voice at that hour puts me back to sleep sometimes.” he said with a bit of a shrug. There were just some people he could not listen to without falling asleep if it was early in the morning. If he jogged then he was likely to be more awake and not face plant his desk. If not, well then he would probably end up failing the class from sleeping through it. ”Sometimes I stretch, and sometimes I don’t, depends on what I feel like that day.” he stated with a smile. If he felt like everything was stiff, then he would stretch, if not then he wouldn’t typically.
He saw her smile more when he told her not to be sorry about loving history. It wasn’t like you could really help rambling about something you loved sometimes. ”It probably depends on which parts of history you’re talking about. Some parts can be horribly boring, while other parts are kind of interesting. It also depends on which country’s history you are talking about.” he noted with a bit of a shrug. Some countries had more history than others, or were more interesting than others depending on what they had done. Then she seemed to be asking a random question and blinked at her. ”Which one? Aren’t there like a hundred different versions? The generic one isn’t bad, I’m not terrible at it, but I do miss the unusually obscure ones. I played it as a drinking game once or twice too, which was definitely interesting. Why do you ask?” he noted with a slight shrug. Her statement about partying was technically true. ”That’s true I suppose, but both are a form of party, so I just stick to general usually.” he stated with a smile.
Then she was shooting him questions about accounting and he thought about it for a moment. ”Accounting in itself is fine and informative, but the teacher’s voice is extremely boring. This makes it hard to pay attention at times because it tends to put most of the class to sleep. It isn’t hard to do if you’re willing to read the book and do the work. Mostly it’s math, so if you can handle math with and without a calculator you’ll do fine in accounting.” he said simply. This was true enough most of the time, sure there were a few other assignments that weren’t just math, but it was mostly math, and while it wasn’t his favorite subject he wasn’t terrible at it. Her question made him chuckle slightly, especially the afterthought. ”I’m definitely sure every major has classes that are horribly boring generic ones, along with some interesting ones. Though, I suppose they wouldn’t be interesting or boring to everyone either, it probably depends on what you’re interested in. Then again, why pick a major you aren’t interested in to begin with?” he pondered slightly.

I'm walkin' on sunshine, woh-oh And don't it feel good? JAIR CECLIA DARLING ==================================== Jair nodded her agreement. Cliques were boring. It kept people amongst others like them. How could you learn and become something more without outside influence? She didn’t just approach new people. Sometimes they approached her. Or she had a good reason to speak to them...”I just don’t generally approach people. I mean, if I am alone and want to socialize...maybe. But mostly, unless I have a good reason or they are already discussing a topic I want to weigh in on, I keep to myself.”
She explained. Jair listened and made note of the information. She could use it for later to track him down if she wanted to. Or if she wanted to jog herself she could join him for a jog. No one was better at piecing together information than Jair. Then again, no one else stored ever tidbit of physical, mental and verbal information with perfect retention. If Jair ever found someone who did, she’d be thrilled. ”I don’t find any of my classes dreadfully boring. If they have a hard time maintaining my interest I just do homework for other classes as I listen. I generally do that or play games in lectures anyways...” Not many people did that to quite the extent as Jair either. Perfect memory also meant she had no reason to take notes...Who needed lecture notes when you could call up the whole lecture verbatim?? Jair considered what he told her. ”They also say a luke warm or cold shower is a good way to get your mind moving in the morning. Hot showers relax the muscles and therefore cause you to be drowsier. Cold showers are a shock to the system and jolt it away. Warm showers don’t do much of anything...” she explained. ”Though, exercise is another great way to do that. The chemicals that get released are certainly a logical option and you are keeping yourself fit. I jog some mornings, perhaps I will join you sometime.” she said, more absently than with intention. Jair considered what he had said to answer her question about stretching. ”Always stretch after. Some people stretch before...that is actually detrimental to your body. The muscles are taunt and stretching puts shock strain on them. After, when they are warmed up, you can get much more flexibility out of them and without harming your body.” she informed him. Jair felt a little flush go to her cheeks as she realized she must be coming across as a know-it-all, but this time she didn’t apologize. Jair nodded her agreement when he mentions some countries and some time periods were just dread boring. ”Yes, but all the information, event from the boring times and places, can be so valuable to understand our world and our background. I plan to travel around and learn the histories of various countries from their own perspective as well. Contrasting different versions of the same history fascinates me.” she admitted. Jair listened to his response and question. ”Oh, I collect Trivial Pursuit games. I adore them. Definitely my favourite game. I remain undefeated at all of them so far. Though, that isn’t likely to change. I am running out of people to play it with, so I figured I’d ask.” she said with a smile. ”My friends even play by special rules. I have to answer multiple questions of each color to get a piece and I can only answer one question on a retrieval space a turn.” she added. She nodded her head slowly, taking in the visual of his smile this time. He wasn’t bad looking... ”Hmm...I will likely take it. I tend to take quite a work load and I’ve been running out of primary topic choices.” She hated filler courses and those were the ones she wanted to avoid. She took the mandatory filler classes but my god were they boring. Emulators on her computer had kept her from sleeping through them...well that and a wealth of online manga. ”I don’t know? To learn about something new maybe? Though, that still begs the question why not choose something you at least have curiosity about...” she said with a shrug.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Damien Lucifer •• •• Words • 691 •• •• Outfit • Cargo shorts, a T-Shirt saying “Use the Triforce” with the triforce symbol from Zelda on it, a pair of yellow converse with green laces and a green bandanna with the triforce on it holding down her hair to the top of her head. •• •• Lyrics • "Walking on Sunshine" By Katrina and the Waves •• •• Dog • CLICK HERE ••

Damien rarely had an actual good reason to approach someone, mostly because flirting wasn’t normally considered a good reason. Well, it could be depending on the person, but usually it wasn’t. ”I almost always like socializing. Talking to yourself isn’t always that entertaining.” he joked slightly with a smile. Sometimes it was fine, but he hadn’t felt like playing video games, and had no need to study at the moment, and thus he was left with socializing. That being said, it didn’t really give him a ton of options. He usually preferred to either exercise in the early morning or at night, and so now was not his typical time for doing so. Thus he had just decided to wander around campus until he found Jair. She definitely seemed more than willing to talk to him as well, and so he was entertained. Well, for now at least he was. Then again, it was easy enough to keep his attention as long as you weren’t in the habit of ignoring him. Not exactly something that was hard to do. Just had to tell him to leave and usually he did. He would go off and find someone else to possibly talk to no problem there.
He listened when she said that she either played games or did other homework. ”I’m pretty sure they would try and kick me out of class for that. What games are you playing during class?” he asked her curiously. He wanted to know what kind of games she was interested in. There were a possibility of hundreds she could be playing after all. Especially, if she was using a laptop to play the games. As long as there wasn’t a lot of mouse clicking it was likely that a teacher wouldn’t be suspicious. Well, maybe not depending on if they knew Jair or not and maybe didn’t even care. ”Isn’t it hard to gain knowledge from the class while playing games though?” he asked curiously. It would make sense, being that he didn’t exactly know her powers as of yet, and so he figured someone who seemed to like learning more would want to pay attention no matter what. Maybe that wasn’t the case though for some reason? Thus he was a little curious because of the information she had been telling him during the course of the conversation. Well, that wasn’t the only thing he was curious about of course either being that he had asked about what games she was playing. He wondered if they were multiplayer online ones, or one she had gotten from a store for just on her computer.
Her statement made him give a slight chuckle. She was talking about showers to get someone’s head moving? It really did depend on the person he thought. ”That can only do so much. It’s a short amount of time, I usually need a bit longer to wake up in the morning.” he noted with a shrug. This indicated that he was indeed not quite a morning person. He wasn’t the type to be able to wake up and always stay up even after taking a shower shock to his system or not. ”Exercise gives me time to wake up enough to stay awake during early morning classes.” he stated with a smile at her. Then she said that she may join him sometime. ”You’re more than welcome to do so.” he said with a smile. He really wasn’t sure where this was going at this point, it seemed like she was either ignoring his flirting or not noticing it. Either way, that made it a little more interesting to him.
Her statement about stretching made him shrug. ”I was under the impression that exercise was supposed to hurt.” he said with a grin. ”Everyone always says to stretch before so you don’t cramp up during the run.” he noted with a raised eyebrow. He wasn’t sure anyone really recommended stretching after because wouldn’t just flat out running without a warm-up put the same kind of shock as stretching before would? It only stood to reason, but it may depend on the workout you are doing. Then they started talking about how the boring parts of history could tell them about the world and their background. That may be true, but it was still boring, though maybe she found that interesting? Maybe not, being that she seemed to agree with him to some extent. ”Everyone always tells the story different I suppose. The losing side of the war is never made out to be right, but it’s entirely possible they were justified in their actions.” he noted with a shrug. Made it difficult to figure out who was telling the truth, and you probably had to make your own conclusions and possibly keep them to yourself. After all, the writers of the history books didn’t like being questioned he imagined.
Her statement made him smile slightly. So she liked Trivial Pursuit then, and that was why she had asked. ”Are you undefeated because you go through all the cards when you get it rather than by going through them by playing it? Though, I imagine that’s a lot of questions and answers to remember.” he stated simply. This especially made sense when she said her friends made her play by special rules where she had to get several questions right before moving on, and had to wait three turns for one piece basically. That seemed a little extreme. ”Are there any of them you don’t currently have?” he asked her slightly curious as to the answer. If she had all of them and knew all the answers then clearly he had no chance of winning, but if she didn’t have one and it was the first time opening it, there may be a chance of him at least having a fair shot. It was entirely possible that she owned them all though, and so he would just have to deal with being beaten if they played.
”How have you run out of classes as a freshman?” he asked her with a raised eyebrow. That didn’t seem possible time-frame wise unless she had been to another college already. Her statement about learning something new, but not picking something they had a curiosity about made him shrug. ”Maybe their parents decided what they would have to do? Like run the family business or whatever. Not everyone gets a choice in what they go to college for I imagine.” he stated after a few moments of pondering it. Sure people should get the choice, but if parents were paying for it sometimes they got no choice.
