At first, Matthew Williams may not seem like one to stick out in a crowd. He's a generally quiet sort of guy who prefers to take in a situation before acting. That said, he's not all quiet observer. Once he does get involved, he can prove to be a very valuable ally. He's incredibly loyal to his friends, and though he might not seem like much at first glance, he's actually quite a formidable foe.
So, on that subject, he will likely have plenty of friends. His easygoing nature makes it easy to make friends with a lot of people, or at the very least be on good terms with them. His only issue here is that occasionally, he can be too quiet and therefore gets overlooked. Nevertheless, those who do get to know him will have both a loyal friend and ally, and he's a good guy to consider having on your side.
As for enemies, he probably wouldn't have too many, but no one gets along with everyone. Those who are his enemy soon realize that it's not a good idea to be on this particular side of him. It takes a lot to set him off, but when he is set off, he makes sure that it's known, and it's like watching a geyser explode. One of the most surefire ways to get him riled up is to hurt any of his allies or friends in any way. If you do that, you'll have one pissed off Matthew coming for you.
Lovers are a more open category. I'm going to let Cal take care of this one because I think she might have a plot in mind, but I'm not entirely sure.

Definitely on good terms, a bit protective since she's protective of his brother, Alfred; and good friends. And she should have him a Golem toy plane too so Steve Rogers has a pal! LOL.
KATHERINE AND MATTHEW
She knows about nations so she probably figure out by Alfred calling his brother that he might be an American country too, plus she would figure out that his birthday is same as Canada Day. Think they could be good friends and all. What do you think?

Matthew and Chaya - I agree with good friends. They'd definitely know each other through both Alfred and world conferences, so...
Matthew and Kat - Agreed on these two as well, though he'd probably be all '0_o' at first, especially if he doesn't know that she knows about the nation thing.

I can see these two getting along if they ever ‘talked’. Din can locate Mattie when he is invisible by searching for his mind and Mattie seems more than intelligent enough to understand what Din is trying to say a lot of the time. More friends couldn’t hurt either of them.
MATTHEW and JAIR
Not sure how this would sit. Jair knows about the countries and certainly knows he’s Canada. She’d be a tad weirded out by what that means given she is Canadian. Mostly she’d be curious and that could lead to them being friends. It could also go the other way...so I can’t be completely sure. Any ideas?
MATTHEW and ERIN
Friends. We were joking the other night about how amusing it’d be if Erin was Mattie’s first just like she was Alfred’s. They had the awkward sleepover after the July 4th party, and its only a matter of time before they sleep together (discussed that part with Cal). So...friends, eventually sleeping together...perhaps dating for a short time, but that depends on what you guys think. Could be interesting if some threesome action happens with them and Ivan when that starts...but just throwing it out there. Erin is game!

Matthew and Din - Agreed. Plus Matthew has a good amount of patience. I think these two could be pretty close friends if given enough time. Close as they can be when Din doesn't know about the nation bit, lol.
Matthew and Jair - That would be kinda awkward, wouldn't it? XD I don't think Matthew would have an outright problem with Jair. She is one of his citizens, after all, so he might actually seek her out.
Matthew and Erin - I think we need to have a skype chat to discuss this one with all three of us at once. I think that's the best way to go about it.

DESNA && MATTIE
Well I don’t see Mattie and Des having sex. That’s much is clear. However, in 1988 Canada signed the Antarctic Treaty. That means that he has stake a partial claim in Desna’s future. We need to work out what this means. Definitely. Des generally has just slept with the signatory nations but Mattie is/was a virgin until Ireland gave his virginity away to America’s body/Russia’s mind (god that is messed up). So we need to work out what Des had done for Mattie or if he has done anything for Mattie. At the very least I see these two being friends. Desna wouldn’t have the same ‘not-noticing’ approach to Mattie. You know, how the nations tend to not see him unless he stands on a podium in the center of the meeting table and flails his arms yelling NOTICEMENOTICEMENOTICEME! Des wouldn’t not-notice Mattie. Des has been surviving on his own for so long that he is quite observant. He is social but also tends to be very down to earth, which makes him and Mattie a good pairing for friends.

Mattie and Desna - I agree that these two would be friends. I can't see any reason they wouldn't be, and the fact that Canada was a part of the Antarctic treaty means that they at least know of each other. Their personalities seem fairly similar, and I think they'd get along generally well, even if their friendship started a bit later than the rest (by the sounds of it), likely because they both have generally laid back personalities (as opposed to other more outgoing nations).

NAJA AND MATTHEW
I see them being friendly and they do have similar personalities except Naja is a bit louder and outgoing, etc. Should be interesting to see this relationship evolving. Also, Naja did call him up and say she was coming over: by sled, snowmobile, and ship...or was it plane?... and probably made him go "WHAT?!? O.o;" lol

Warren & Matthew- They would eventually meet since he sees Alfred as his older adopted brother. And Alfred and Matthew are pretty much brothers. Could see them getting along quite well.
