Hey, hey, you, you! I don't like your girlfriend,
No way, no way I think you need a new one, Hey, hey, you, you! I could be your girlfriend Tessa was nervous about how Marilyn reacted knowing very well she could act like she was taking it well. Giving her a few minutes to soak everything in she was waiting for some sort of explosion but it never came. Instead a small smile graced her lips as if she felt relieved. This confused the hell out of Tessa, how could she be acting so calm and collect? Even Tessa wasn’t so calm when she first heard the news herself. Looking at the girl with a confused looked on her face she couldn’t believe it. There was something wrong she was taking this all way to well for her liking. Then again she figured that maybe this was one of Alfred’s traits to act cool under pressure. Earlier he hadn’t really acted like it when they were in England. Then again it was a more serious matter than this? She couldn’t imagine anything more important than this.
“Thank you for telling me, I’ve waited years upon years to hear something!”
Her eyes seemed to light up with delight Tessa was just happy that everything was fine. Alfred did seem to have a serious air about him. Tessa figured that daughter like father and she could pick up when things were serious and when things were more of a joke. Hearing him saying something about food. At that moment Tessa’s stomach grumbled right on que. She didn’t realize how hungry time traveling made her. Since they had just ate before they took off on their first excursion. Trying to settle her stomach down while Alfred and Marilyn were having a father daughter moment. But Marilyn seemed to have heard it and began to giggle Tessa’s way.
“I could go for a bite to eat, I really want a hamburger. They are my favorite.”
She offered this with a smile toward Alfred. It seemed like she was trying to warm up to him. Almost as if it was a gift that she was giving Alfred. Tessa smiled and swelled up inside. She realize this was silly since the real Alfred when ever he came back would be terribly confused. This all might be doing more harm then good since she’d be super confused when the future Alfred came home and didn’t know what she was talking about. This worried Tessa a bit and figured maybe she should tell Marilyn to keep quiet about this until Alfred her future father brought this up again. She wondered how this would play out with Marilyn not looking at Tessa suspiciously. Word Count: 425 Tag: Alfred/Mandee Notes: Lyrics: Avril Lavigne- Boyfriend

CHEESEBURGER IN PARADISE HEAVEN ON EARTH WITH AN ONION SLICE NOT TOO PARTICULAR, NOT TOO PRECISE
----------------------------------Alfred was surprised when there was no explosion as well. Surprised but relieved. The last thing he wanted was for his daughter to go ballistic on him so soon after he met her. He was still immensely curious.
Right after his suggestion, he heard Tessa's stomach rumble and let loose his trademark laugh. "Sounds like your mother's game! What about you?"
Again, it was an attempt to lighten the atmosphere, and of course to poke at Tessa a little. Alfred's eyes lit up at once when Marilyn mentioned that her favorite food was a hamburger. "Mine too! What kind of stuff do you usually get on your hamburgers? How many can you eat in one sitting? Tessa, are you alright with grabbing burgers?" Oh, he'd been set off now. He found something that he and his daughter had in common other than looks! His daughter. That still felt strange. He didn't think it would ever stop feeling strange. It wasn't supposed to happen this way. Nations weren't supposed to have kids. How would the others react if they found out he did? Yet he tried not to dwell on it for the time being. He was building a good rapport with Marilyn, and the three of them were going to go out and grab some burgers together. He'd worry about the implications of this later! Well, he and Tessa would. It was Tessa's power that landed them here in the first place. Hey, hey, you, you! I don't like your girlfriend,
No way, no way I think you need a new one, Hey, hey, you, you! I could be your girlfriend Tessa smiled at Alfred as he said she was game too. She couldn’t lie her stomach was telling both of them that it was time to eat. She wondered if Marilyn would take them to a fun place or if she would expect them to lead her somewhere. Possibly they might even have a family restaurant they usually go too. Looking around this place again it didn’t seem familiar at all. Where did she ship them off too? Where did Alfred ship them off too if that was the case! Shifting around she wanted answers but didn’t want to disrupt this nice little ledge they had all settled on.
“I like everything on my burgers! The most I usually eat is three, but I have scarfed down six before. It’s weird sometimes my stomach feels like an open hole and other times I get full super fast.”
Tessa nods and motions to them to lead the way. She wasn’t sure why she was going along with this, not that she didn’t want to. But something could go wrong and mess the future up. Or they might never get back to there own place in time. Biting her nails she figures she shouldn’t be such a stick in the mud and follows suit behind the two. Watching them walk side by side they both had similar qualities about their walk, which makes Tessa giggle.
“So my favorite burger joint is down here. It’s even better than McDonalds, which is something I thought that I’d never say. But I can’t lie this new restaurant is a keeper I sometimes come here by myself when I need to think and just eat.”
Finally arriving to the Burger joint it looked normal enough. Going in the three sit down at a table looking at the menus but the only thing that does sound good Tessa is a nice old-fashioned messy burger. This burger joint was amazing though pretty much every burger you could think of was on this menu not to mention you could create your own. That’s probably why Marilyn loved this place so much. Tessa watched as Marilyn put her menu down and studied Alfred and her self.
“I have a confession to make… I know you two aren’t my parents. For one my father is never this cool, well at least to me. He likes to keep me in the dark about a lot of this so you might be my dad but not in this time frame. And mom, Tessa… that is so weird. My mother is a lot older than you and you’ve kept you self-looking amazing but your normal and age. Plus I’ve seen you in college and this is an exact replica of you. So what really is going on? Did you time travel here?”
Tessa opened her mouth to speak but no words came out. She felt like she got punched in the gut. But it made sense this was their daughter and to really sell her short that she wouldn’t recognize something was different. It was a joke really and she had them both fooled.
“We… well what happened was. “
There were not words to even describe what happened. Tessa wasn’t even sure what had happened which is why they are there. Her eyes searched for some sort of answer but they came up short when she looked at Marilyn and just shrugged and shook her head saying I have no idea.Word Count: 578 Tag: Alfred/Mandee Notes: Lyrics: Avril Lavigne- Boyfriend

CHEESEBURGER IN PARADISE HEAVEN ON EARTH WITH AN ONION SLICE NOT TOO PARTICULAR, NOT TOO PRECISE
----------------------------------Alfred listened to Marilyn as she explained her appetite. She'd definitely inherited Daddy's appetite, although it wasn't quite as pronounced as his. He patted his stomach proudly. "I don't even get full."
He'd only gotten full once, and that involved switching bodies with Russia. It was a peculiar feeling, and he'd decided then and there that he never wanted to feel something like that again. How did everyone else deal with that? It didn't occur to him that everyone else was used to it, and would probably find his lack of ability to feel full odd instead. That, and of all bodies he could have ended up in, why had he ended up in Russia's? Was it someone's idea of a joke? "Better than McDonalds?" His eyes were perfectly round, as if Marilyn was eschewing utter blasphemy. "I dunno if that's possible!" There were some pretty damn good burgers out there, and Alfred enjoyed switching it up. Still, McDonald's was his number one go to place. Fast, quick, and easy burgers, fries, apple pie, shakes...whatever he wanted! What wasn't to like? The first thing Alfred noted when they stepped inside was that this place wasn't like McDonald's. Rather than walking up to the counter and placing an order, it was a sit-down restaurant. Making his way over to a table, he took a seat with Tessa and Marilyn and began sifting through the menu right away. Alfred's mouth watered just reading. He wanted to try them all! "I have a confession to make..."Alfred's eyes shot up from the menu at that. As Marilyn continued, it became clear that she'd worked out that Tessa and Alfred didn't exactly belong there. As she mused, Alfred couldn't help but notice that she sounded like a certain someone else. The corners of his mouth curved upward into an amused smirk as his gaze shot over to Tessa. "Looks like someone takes after their mother!" He was highly amused at this. She did seem like a nice blend of her parents, didn't she? Alfred's appetite, Tessa's observation skills... If Tessa struggled to come up with an answer, Alfred really had no idea what to say. It was Tessa's power that brought them here, so if anyone had the answers, it would be her. Maybe Alfred's presence had done something, but if it had, it certainly wasn't something he knew about! Besides, everything worked fine the first time. The trip was smooth. It didn't feel like they were caught in some sort of whirly traffic jam. "We're still trying to work that one out ourselves." Alfred decided to supply as an answer, with a shrug and a smile. Well, it was the truth, wasn't it? It didn't seem like there would be any harm in admitting such, considering Marilyn already worked part of it out on her own. Hey, hey, you, you! I don't like your girlfriend,
No way, no way I think you need a new one, Hey, hey, you, you! I could be your girlfriend Tessa grinned as Alfred said Marilyn took after her. It was true, she had worked out all the kinks but as she explained it all made since. She was still on college so it made since she looked younger. Figuring she was with future Tessa all the time it would be hard not to notice that there was something different. Tessa’s mind wondered off for a moment wondering what type of job she had. Not to mention that her daughter was wandering around on what seemed to be a school day. Yet she didn’t really know since it could be any day of the week. Or if she even went to school if Tessa just didn’t teacher her daughter everything herself. She was educated enough to probably be a teacher right now and get paid for it.
Hearing Marilyn ask what they were even doing here her words were caught in her throat. Thankfully though Alfred came in and said they were trying to work that out for themselves. She wondered if future Tessa would remember this and could explain but it was too risky Knowing herself she’d probably trap them somewhere and try to experiment on them wondering if they were the real deal or just some spies trying to get to Alfred. That took her thoughts to another level, where there people after them? She had to imagine that would be likely, since Alfred was a nation. Could they be putting future Alfred in danger right now by even speaking to Marilyn? All these thoughts rushed on Tessa’s mind but she had no answers. This wasn’t her life… yet so she had no experience on what to do in these situations.
“Well I’m not sure how you two ended up here. But maybe it has something to do with the time line you were traveling in. Or if you mom… erm Tessa weren’t concentrated enough or had a random thought going through you head with out knowledge it could have brought you here. That happened once when we were time traveling around seeing Dad’s history of America. She thought something else and we ended up in this weird time that didn’t make sense.”
Tessa’s mind thought about that for a moment. She had been daydreaming a lot about Alfred. She had even thought about them being together in the cafeteria, she wondered if the thoughts were still lingering. She wanted to say she accepted what Alfred had said but it was hard just to turn her self off to attraction. And knowing anything about chemistry the feelings would still be there even for a while. It would take time and will power to stop them from reacting when Alfred was around. This most certainly wasn’t helping being here with him and seeing there daughter. But a thought dawned upon her, what if like that other time her powers had sent them in to some sort of dimension. Something she created in her mind and it sent them there. Her heart stopped for a moment not believing it but the more she thought about it. The more it sounded like a greater possibility.Word Count: 524 Tag: Alfred/Mandee Notes: Lyrics: Avril Lavigne- Boyfriend

CHEESEBURGER IN PARADISE HEAVEN ON EARTH WITH AN ONION SLICE NOT TOO PARTICULAR, NOT TOO PRECISE
----------------------------------Alfred still wasn't sure to make of this situation. He'd always resolved never to get into a situation like this. While he did end up attached to humans no matter what he did, he'd never intended to have a child with one. It didn't seem right for a parent to outlive their child, and yet, if Marilyn was human (and she certainly seemed to be), it was bound to happen. He would outlive his daughter, it was almost a guarantee. Alfred was trying his best not to let his discomfort show...indeed, he was trying his best not to even acknowledge to himself that he was feeling uncomfortable, but the latter was a nigh impossible task. Still, at the very least, he could act like it wasn't bothering him!
Fortunately, there were so many questions to ask that this was an easier task than one might expect.
Alfred listened to what Marilyn had to say, wishing that he had something to do with his hands while he was waiting. He tended to get very twitchy when nervous, and it helped to have something in his hands to fiddle around with. It didn't help that most of what Marilyn was saying was directed to Tessa.
For once, he couldn't think of much to add to the conversation.
When an opening did come up, however, Alfred decided to seize it immediately. "Right before we came here, I told Tessa what I was."
He then turned to Tessa. "Maybe that's why we ended up here. There's gotta be some reason. I know she wasn't aiming for the future." He had yet to consider another option - That Tessa had shown signs of having a crush on him earlier. Had she been distracted by that and landed herself (and Alfred by proxy), in this future where they had a kid together? Hey, hey, you, you! I don't like your girlfriend,
No way, no way I think you need a new one, Hey, hey, you, you! I could be your girlfriend Tessa’s eyes opened as Alfred began talking about how he had told her about himself. But how was it even possible that she ended them up in a future she made up? All she could do was blink and almost feel, as this whole thing was a lie. Marilyn wasn’t real and when they felt she’d disappear. Or would she since this is now maybe another future. By the look on her daughters face she had come to the same conclusion. She wanted to open her mouth and say something but no words were coming out. Taking a sip of her drink she then began to speak.
“Alfred do you know what this means, if this isn’t the future. None of this is real… including Marilyn. How can we go back? She will vanish if we do there will be no more this future.”
Tess realized that they couldn’t stay there forever. She had family and friends back in there time not to mention Alfred was America! You can’t have him never showing back up again disappearing in to the sands of time. She bit her lip but Marilyn seemed to be ok with this. As if she knew she would disappear she had been living a life here. Tessa knew the girl was smart but all those memories are just because Tessa got their wires crossed with another dimension or what ever they were in. She sat at the table not sure if they should just leave now, if that would be better.
“What should we do Alfred? Shall we try and go back to our time?”
“Well if anyone cares what I think, you should stay here enjoy this time with me. Because this is the happiest I’ve been in a while then after we enjoy our meal you two NEED to go back. This isn’t your time here or future, I understand that.” Word Count: 316 Tag: Alfred/Mandee Notes: I think this is winding down. Lyrics: Avril Lavigne- Boyfriend

CHEESEBURGER IN PARADISE HEAVEN ON EARTH WITH AN ONION SLICE NOT TOO PARTICULAR, NOT TOO PRECISE
----------------------------------Alfred looked across the table at Marilyn when he heard what Tessa was saying. If this was the future, it was just one of many futures that could pan out. Marilyn might not even exist in their actual future.
That was, if possible, even more difficult for Alfred to think about than it was to consider the fact that he had a daughter. Given the choice, he wouldn't have children. Did he have a choice now, though? Marilyn existed in this timeline. She was sitting right in front of him. Would it be right if they changed the course of events? It wasn't something that Alfred particularly enjoyed thinking about at all, and he squirmed in his seat slightly, hoping that no one would notice.
His gaze shot back over to Tessa. "I'm...we better make sure we end up in the right time if we do! We don't wanna get lost again!"
He had very nearly admitted that he wasn't sure, but that meant admitting his worries on the matter, which was something he hated to do. Not to mention they probably needed a vote of confidence right now. He could be that vote of confidence, nevermind what he was feeling on the inside! Alfred was surprised to hear Marilyn of all people weigh in on the matter. His eyes widened slightly in surprise. She was telling them to go back? Why would she do that, knowing that her history could be altered? He chose to ignore the questions raging in his head, and decide to focus on more positive subjects. Marilyn was right. They should enjoy their meal, and then worry about this afterward. Tessa was in the driver's seat anyway. There was little he could do about the situation, and that made him even more uncomfortable. So he decided to address something else entirely, in an attempt to lighten the mood again. "So, what kind of burgers are you guys getting? I think I'm gonna try a few different kinds. Any suggestions? Dares?" He looked at both of them eagerly, waiting for responses. Hey, hey, you, you! I don't like your girlfriend,
No way, no way I think you need a new one, Hey, hey, you, you! I could be your girlfriend Tessa was taken aback for a moment, it was true they did need to take in to account that Marilyn did have a say in all of this. She glanced at Alfred as he stated that he didn’t want to get lost in time again. She nodded to him agreeing, anything they did now could mess up their old life. Even if this was an alternate reality it could have real and long lasting effects. Tessa began to move her leg up and down feeling nervous. But cooled down once she mentally decided that they were going to stay put for now. They owed it to there little girl even if it wasn’t real. She tried to read her menu but the words of their daughter sounded so wise. In this life they had some something right with raising her. Tessa looked back up at Marilyn her jaw was strong and she seemed to have Alfred’s power with authority. Tessa figured that she had seen it many time in her lifetime.
“I agree Alfred we need to navigate our way back safely. I mean we need to get back sooner or later. But I do agree with our daughter, we owe her a chance to have a meal with her parents even if this isn’t… like we all imagined it.”
Tessa fidgeted some more and finally looked at the menu looking at some pretty interesting burgers. The one that caught her eye was a teriyaki burger with pineapple on it. She let her eyes get big as she read what was in it. Her mouth almost salivating, as she wanted the waiter to come over and get their order now. She looked around at the other two Marilyn seemed to be skimming but knowing what she was going to order. Alfred was trying to make the mood light by asking for any one to dare him to try a burger. Tessa couldn’t help at this, a childish look glossing over his eyes. Tessa looked over the menu to see if she could find something her eyes landed on the devil’s hot burger. With multiple types of hot sauce on the burger but before she had a chance Marilyn interrupted stealing the words right out of her mouth.
“I double dog dare you to try the Devil’s hot burger! No one can eat it with out at least crying or ordering something soothing to wash it down with. Not even you in THIS reality can do it.”
Tessa grins and looks over at Alfred. She knew he would accept the challenge and try and beat his future self. The eagerness in his eyes taking it up a notch if that was even possible. Tessa let out a laugh, not letting either of them in on the secret. She glanced at her daughter and saw her eyes sparkling. Tessa wondered if this was the most fun she had in a while. This saddened her a bit, was she that terrible of a mother that her daughter never had fun? Her lips turned down a bit at the thought of this. She knew that she was hard on herself but was she also hard on their daughter to be just as perfect?Word Count: 539 Tag: Alfred/Mandee Notes: none Lyrics: Avril Lavigne- Boyfriend

CHEESEBURGER IN PARADISE HEAVEN ON EARTH WITH AN ONION SLICE NOT TOO PARTICULAR, NOT TOO PRECISE
----------------------------------This whole situation made Alfred feel far more uneasy than he wanted to admit. They absolutely needed to get back, regardless of the situation. Part of Alfred wanted to leave straight away, to pretend that this had never happened. Another wanted to put off the complications that would almost certainly come when they tried to travel back.
Could they just go back to everything as though this trip had never happened? Where were they?
Alfred smiled across the table at Marilyn, then noticed the look on Tessa's face. Before he could ask Tessa what had her grinning like a madwoman, though, Marilyn spoke up, distracting his attention.
"You're on!"
Alfred stated with a confident grin, then looked to both of them with a raised eyebrow. "Either of you willing to try one with me? I'm willing to take either of you on, IF you think you can handle it. Alfred nearly always enjoyed a competition, and wanted to see if either of them would take the bite. He watched as the waiter came, taking their orders. The waiter looked to Alfred first. "I'll have a Devil's Hot Burger, a Taco Burger, and a Double Cheeseburger, along with a side of fries, onion rings, and a large Coca-Cola!" A small order for Alfred, but he still wasn't sure what their plans were after eating, so he decided to play it simple. Hey, hey, you, you! I don't like your girlfriend,
No way, no way I think you need a new one, Hey, hey, you, you! I could be your girlfriend Tessa couldn’t help but feel a bit anxious. She had gotten them in to this mess and now had to fix it. Going back she was sure it was going to be a bit awkward. It wasn’t every day you take a trip in to an altered future. She wanted to bite her nails but that would be a dead give away she was nervous. So she placed her hands by her side not wanting to draw attention to herself.
“I don’t think a whole one, but if you want to share a bit I will try it.”
Tessa smiled, she didn’t mind trying knew things. She knew it was going to be hot but hoped her mouth could take it. She would hate to have to run out of her and down the street screaming that her mouth was on fire. Although she was sure it would be a sight to see. Alfred and Marilyn would get a kick out of it that’s for sure.
“Oh no I think I’m good”
Marilyn giving Tessa a wink, letting her mind wander Tessa wondered if the burger was THAT bad. A little bit couldn’t really hurt her. Maybe if she was ordering a burger of her own it wouldn’t go down too well but come on it was going to be just fine. She watched as the waitress came up. Alfred jumped on ordering his burger. Tessa just smiled her eyes getting slightly bit as he kept ordering and ordering.
“I will just have a teriyaki burger with a water”
The waitress than looked at her daughter and she ordered a couple burgers. Tessa shook her head she felt as if she were in the middle of an eating contest.Word Count: 289 Tag: Alfred/Mandee Notes: Lyrics: Avril Lavigne- Boyfriend

CHEESEBURGER IN PARADISE HEAVEN ON EARTH WITH AN ONION SLICE NOT TOO PARTICULAR, NOT TOO PRECISE
----------------------------------Alfred waited impatiently for a response from either of the girls. His leg danced around, bouncing up and down on top of his foot. When he finally got an affirmative response from Tessa (much to his surprise...he'd been expecting it from Marilyn), Alfred grinned. "Sure, IF you think you can handle it."
Marilyn, on the other hand, turned him down, much to his chagrin. "Come on! Try at least a little! Even Tessa's going to try a piece! Or are you too scared?" He wore a teasing grin on his face, acting much less like a parent at this point and more like a sibling. One also had to bear in mind that he still wasn't quite used to the idea of having a daughter, and wasn't sure if he would ever be. He was trying to keep his uncertainties concerning that off of his mind though, so he tried to find something else to discuss. It was at this point that the waiter arrived, and Alfred found a suitable distraction. He didn't even notice the looks he was getting from Tessa for how much he ordered. Honestly, he hadn't even ordered that much for him. She should know that he had a large appetite, given that she'd seen him eat five hamburgers at lunch...but then again, lunch hadn't been that long before. Maybe she thought he wouldn't be hungry. Soon she'd learn that there was never a time where Alfred couldn't eat, unless he was ill for some reason or another. And even then, he was never full, he just didn't want to eat because his mind was on other things. Alfred smiled as his daughter ordered a couple of hamburgers for herself. Then he watched as the waiter left the table, turning his attention back to Tessa and Marilyn. "So how often do ya come here, Marilyn?" He asked, more to make conversation than anything else.
